Ageha Yoshina is the main protagonist of the manga franchise Psyren. He is a high-schooler, who takes part in the game of Psyren on and off. He first enters the game seeking the whereabouts of his classmate, Sakurako Amamiya. After arriving, he meets and subsequently pairs up with his other former classmate Hiryu Asaga. After surprisingly surviving the first round of Psyren, he trains to control his PSI. On his second visit to Psyren, he and his other friends team up with Oboro and Kabuto. He finds out Psyren takes place in the future and indirectly helps to save his friends in the past with this knowledge. Before he learned about Psyren, Ageha was a relatively normal high schooler, promising to take care of anyone's problems for the price of 10,000 yen. Ageha's mother died years ago, and his sister, Fubuki Yoshina takes care of him. Ageha's father, Yoshina Asuka works as an astronomer. In his elementary years, he was really laid back. His was friends with Asaga and Amamiya was in his class, though he wasn't really friends with her. Ageha did, however, notice that her personality became cold-hearted when her mother died.

The primary antagonist. Miroku Amagi, a mysterious, young man who hates all human beings and desires a world completely inhabited by only psychicer users. To make this dream a reality, he founded the organization of W.I.S.E., and, through this group, he was able to somehow draw the asteroid known as Orouborous to Earth and completely reshape the entire planet into a new world. In the future, it is known to survivors as Psyren, where creatures known as Tavoo exist. As a child, Amagi was an orphan who was described by Kouichi Iba as being a very cooperative and cheerful little boy who willingly took part in Grigori's experiments. The reason for his obedience is that he was fooled into believing that, in exchange for the testing done on him, he would be allowed to live with both his twin sister and parents on the outside when it was all over. (His twin sister is the same woman, who created Nemesis Q) But, as he grew older, he couldn't continue to believe their lies. Eventually, he became emotionless and only spoke to Iba. Then, on his 18th birthday, he was able to convince Iba to shut down his helmet, which controlled his powers, and went berserk killing everyone (except for Iba and the other Psychicers being experimented on) at Grigori the moment he was set free. After that, he became disgusted of humans, leading him on his path to wanting to destroy them all, leaving only Psychicers to dominate the world. He is shown to be a bit cold hearted and uncaring, at times not showing any sadness over the deaths of his subordinates Dholaki and Yusaka, only some surprise over their defeats. He isn't afraid to kill other Psychicers if they get in his way. In the future, Amagi remains somewhat of an unseen character for the most part. Leaving W.I.S.E. in the care of Grigori #01, now calling himself Grana, who is also the leader of the Star Commanders. (Wikipedia)
