Her maiden name was Amano, which is the surname Makoto uses for his alias outside of home. Unlike her husband, she wants her children to make their own choices. Though she feels this way, she rarely intercedes for her children. When she heard the challenge between Makoto and his father, she had fainted from shock at the idea of her son dressing like a girl for the rest of his high school years and it is implied she grew ill as a result. Despite her frailty and mild demeanor, she can be quite fierce when she wishes to be, able to cow her husband with a single look. Rive Shindou is Chrono Shindou's father and Mikuru Shindou's elder brother. He's also one of the co-founder of FIVA and the mysterious clan Gear Chronicle after some circumstances. Rive, Shin Nitta and Mark Whiting once formed a Vanguard team known as Team Nippon. Ten years before the events of Cardfight!! Vanguard G, Rive along with his best friend Ryuzu Myoujin were investigating the connection bewteen Earth and Cray. The research eventually lead to summoning Chrono Dran, however Rive soon found out that Ryuzu's goal is to sacrifice Planet Cray in order to turn Earth into a perfect world. One of the high-ranking officers of the Red Ribbon Army, He had a special psychic technique where he could temporarily paralyze people so they couldn't move (called Choryonku), which Blue used to his advantage to win the fight. He tracked, and encountered Goku various times, eventually stealing a Dragon Radar from him. When he returned to the army's headquarters, Commander Red congratulated him on the finding of the Dragon Radar but noted that his main mission was to collect the Dragon Balls, and that people were executed for failure. Blue became terrified until Red said that since Blue had served the army well in the past, and that if he fought Tao and won he would be able to redeem himself. Tao Pai Pai killed Blue by sticking his tongue on a pressure point on Blue's temple. He is apparently gay, seeing how he doesn't enjoy the idea of Bulma and females.
