He is Rin's older brother and a calm, collected pretty boy who judges the "beauty" of people's actions. He speaks in an elegant and almost flirting manner. He has a way of "knocking" without even touching the target, mostly related to his "sensor" talent which allows him to know the physical state of those around him. His "sensor" is actually thousands upon thousands of super thin hairs that can reach a maximum of 25 feet (7.6 m) in length. Sunny's body has a very high body temperature and powerful sense of touch, being touched by his hair or any part of his body can only be described as Sunny tasting whatever he is touching. He seeks "harmony" in his dishes which is the perfect use of ingredients, perfect handling of the food and most importantly producing a prefect taste. He seems to be slightly in love with Komatsu (or at least his skills since they seem to produce the "harmony Sunny looks for in meals). When he saw Rin, his calm personality disappears and is replaced by that of an over-protective older brother that is shocked by how much her body changed (gained weight from too many sweets), this leads to a rather comical sibling spat between the two. Despite this, anyone who harms Rin runs the risk of provoking his ire, in which case there is a 999.999 percent chance of said person dying. He is also aware of his sisters infatuation with Toriko and approves of it. He shows this when saying "If you wish to take him as a husband, as long as he keeps you safe, I will be okay with it. I will make no objections nor voice any complaints." He, and the other Four Heavenly Kings, were trained by Ichiryuu, the President of the IGO.

Her surname is usually the target of nickname making (which Madoka does not like) from her classmates. During the school festival, she develops a small crush on the teenage form of Kotarou. She has been shown to be very protective of her friends, and especially for Ako, whom she encourages to be more confident. Ironically, she almost got Ako shot when she pressed the shy girl to confess her love for "Nagi" (teenage Negi) in front of an audience during the Live Mahora Concert. Luckily for Ako, and much to Madoka's consternation, she only asked for Nagi's e-mail address. Madoka also takes part in the "Mars vs. Mages" game and is among the first "casualties" (meaning her clothes were blasted off), when she is hit by the robots' strip beams.

Later in the series, it is revealed that actually, Chao is a time traveler, arriving from the future and attempting to use her genius to change history by using the power of the World Tree during the Mahora Festival to reveal the existence of magic to the world. During this story arc, she clashed with Negi Springfield, who she claims is her ancestor.

She is a kind person to everyone, volunteers at the daycare center in Mahora City and is in the Astronomy club. She is a good cook, and has exceptional domestic skills. Even though she is very nice, she can be sometimes be equally scary. Shortly after Golden Week, she found an injured dog on the side of the road. She took the dog in, which turned out to be a young half-demon boy named Kotaro Inugami, who had come to Mahora looking for Negi. Unfortunately, Graf Herrman, a powerful demon, attacked Kotaro, and kidnapped Chizuru when she stood up to him. She all but adopts Kotaro after Negi and Kotaro defeat Graf Hermann, and gets him to live in their dorm under the identity of Natsumi's younger brother. Chizuru is extremely courageous, as shown in her encounter and fight with Graf Hermann, where she calmly confronted him for his intrusion and even slapped him when he was about to petrify Kotaro. While Chizuru stays out of the fighting during the mock-battle at the festival, she does take part in the search for Chao late in the conflict, and wins a gift pack for finding her (which she promptly intimidates Kotaro and Natsumi into not disclosing). Her roommates are Ayaka, Natsumi, and Kotaro. Chizuru has the largest breasts in the class. In the Volume 8 character notes and the Negima Workshop, Ken Akamatsu mentions that Chizuru and Mutsumi Otohime from his earlier work, Love Hina, are very similar.
Rin is the younger sister of one of the Four Heavenly Kings, Sani. A tomboyish pheromone and other odor composition user who acts as a beast handler at the gourmet Colosseum. She has a huge crush on Toriko. Rin blush's whenever Toriko talks to her (even if he just says her name) or does something kind (like calling Terry to eat with him, even if this is more cute then kind). She seems to have a weakness for sweets. She also seems to have been implanted with Gourmet Cells.
A girl who knows about Ozu Takahiro's kindergarten dream of wanting to orbit the world with a long jump. She can get jealous whenever she sees Ozu 'plays' with other people besides her and always do everything she can to draw him back. She always wears headphones which blares music into her ears to black out the sounds of the surrounding world thereby giving her a safe refuge in her own world. She is completely helpless without the headphones. She has long painted fingernails which uses to "cat scratch" anyone who annoys her. She has low alcohol tolerance and a small drink would get her drunk, a state in which she does all sorts of crazy things. She also frequently pouts and assaults Ozu.
