Setsuna is a Shinmeiryu swordswoman from Kyoto who was taken in by Eishun Konoe, Konoka's father and the leader of the Kyoto Mage Association. She is childhood friends with Konoka and her protector. Setsuna spends the beginning of the series being relatively cold to Konoka, wishing to protect her from the shadows due to not forgiving herself for being unable to save Konoka when she almost drowned when they were kids. She does eventually open up to Konoka after the Kyoto arc and begins calling her "Oujo-sama" and "Kono-chan". Setsuna's pactio, Sica Shishikushiro is a wakizashi which she can summon and multiply at will to strike targets like missiles. Due to her training she's also skilled in anti-demon arts and is the one who taught Negi how to create shikigami from paper. Setsuna is a hanyou like Koutaro, in particular a crow. She was expelled from her people because white wings are considered a bad omen, and it was implied by Evangeline that she is an albino using hair dye and contact lenses to appear human. A running gag within the series is that Setsuna and Konoka appear to have romantic feelings for one another, yet Setsuna will deny it whenever she and Konoka are stumbled upon in romantic situations or asked about her preference.
A calm and collected Mercenary, Zola is cool and distant. She is helpful, and uses her knowledge to assist Shu, but also remains somewhat detached. She has a Killer Bat Shadow.

Komatsu is 25 years old, the same age as Toriko. He is timid but greatly interested by what he finds in his travels with Toriko. As a result, he tries to overcome his fear and does his best to help. It is shown that he is a highly skilled and competent chief capable on carrying out delicate procedures such as the removal of a puffer-whale's poison sack. He is also able to create delicious plates from any food giving to him and he has such a large knowledge of foods that he knows which foods would work well together. He is also very observant, being easily able to discover edible organisms in the area. His skills didn't go unnoticed since he has impressed all three of the "Four Heavenly Kings". Toriko noted he has skills even higher than five-star class, Coco who was surprised since Komatsu's skill is most likely world class and Sani seems to be in love with the way Komatsu works as a chef since it produces the "harmony" in food that Sani holds in such high regard. Because he is otherwise normal, he'll write a will whenever he come along on Toriko's hunts. He is also currently the only chef to successfully recreated the Century Soup. He keeps a baby Wall Penguin as a pet that contains the key ingredient for the soup in it's saliva.
Loki is a member of the Fairy Tail guild. He is very flirtatious with attractive women, being top ranked "Mage you want to have as your boyfriend". He attempts to flirt with Lucy but after finding out that she's a Stellar Spirit mage, he quickly stops his advances. Mirajane said that something must have happened to him with a similar female Stellar Spirit mage. She also mentioned that Loke once tried to flirt with Erza, but nearly got himself killed because of it. His weapon is a magical ring and is skilled in "hand-to-hand" combat. He seems to have an interest in Lucy, despite his fear and is the one who searched for Lucy's lost keys and subsequently saves Lucy from bandits. After his sudden departure from Fairy Tail, Lucy discovers that Loki is a Stellar Spirit, Leo the Lion. His master was the famous Karen Lilica, who was a member of Blue Pegasus. Since her death three years ago, he has remained in the human world, unable to return to the Spirit World because he was exiled for killing his own summoner. He reveals that prolonged stay by a Stellar Spirit in the human world leads to imminent death. Although he says he killed Karen, he did not kill her himself. Karen was abusive, vain, and arrogant towards her other Zodiac Stellar Spirit, the timid and kind Aries. One day she was about to punish Aries by forcing her to remain in the Real World for seven straight days, something that would probably kill her. Sick of Karen's apparently frequent tantrums, Loki summoned himself in Aries' place and refused to go back to the Spirit World until Karen broke both their pacts and left her house. However, Karen died on a mission before she could release them. This was due to the fact that she couldn't summon any other spirits while he was already summoned and thus he blamed himself for her death. Although Loki had given up hope and was more than willing to die, Lucy managed to convince the Stellar Spirit King to revoke his exile. Loki is now one of Lucy's Stellar Spirits. He promised to be Lucy's backbone, and returned to the spirit world to recover. With him, Lucy now has half of the Gold keys. After recovering, Loki is seen flirting with Lucy and being friendly with everyone. He declared that he has abandoned his old ways, flirting with only Lucy now.
