Seat Number: 16 Born on: 7th of March, 1989 Blood Type: O Hair: Light Pink Eyes: Green Likes: gymnastics, Negi-kun, cute things Dislikes: slimy things, stuff Like nattou (nattou is essentially fermented beans) Clubs: Gymnastics Club Makie is a cheerful girl who likes gymnastics. She's very friendly and outgoing, but not very smart: she's one of the Baka Rangers (a name given to the five worst students in Negi's class), Baka Pink. A minor character in the beginning of the series, Makie's role is slightly expanded on later on in the manga, where she finds herself having a small crush on Negi later in the series (mainly more so in her finding him cute than an actual crush). Despite her constant being around her teacher, though, she is unaware that he's a mage. In the Negima!? anime series her character is quite different. Although still cheerful and kind, she's now a form of comic relief; she's often made fun of and mocked by her roommate Ayaka. Despite this, though, the two get along somewhat well, sharing a dorm together even.
Seat number: 29 Birthday: July 5, 1988 Blood type: O She is currently the 3-A class president and is among the highest scorers on school exams, where she was last seen as ranked 4th in her whole grade. She and Asuna seem to hate each other, with the two often getting into fights, but it eventually becomes clear that they merely have an odd, but surprisingly close friendship that neither is willing to admit to. She is the girl most overtly fond of Negi, though she stands by the position that she is only interested in Negi because he "needs a mother figure". Though she is highly intelligent, she can often be clueless in relation to the events surrounding her. Thus, many of her classmates incorrectly think of her as a fool (even if they won't say so out loud). (Source: Wikipedia)
The name "Miles Prower" is a pun on "miles per hour", a reference to the famed speed of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a young, male, golden-yellow, anthropomorphic fox with two tails (similar to the mythological kitsune, or "yoko", which was often depicted with up to nine), hence the nickname. He is able to use his two tails to propel himself into the air like a helicopter for a limited time. His debut was in October 16, 1992, taking part in the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2; the 16-bit version was released that November. He is 8 years old, stands at 80cm (2ft 7in), and weighs 20kg (44lbs). Viewing Sonic as somewhat of an older brother, Tails looks up to the hedgehog and aspires to be like him. Though lacking confidence in his abilities as well as experience, Tails does things in a more logical sense than Sonic, often using his ability with machines to turn the tides. (Source: Wikipedia)
Marisa is a human witch who lives in a cluttered house in the Forest of Magic. She is friends with Reimu and visits her often, but otherwise is solitary and spends most of her time researching magic. She is also an avid collector stuffing her house with various items, and would go "borrowing" things from others without returning them. She is selfish, sometimes violent, and has a disagreeable manner. Underneath, though, she is honest and a hard worker. This makes it strange that she is friends with Reimu, whose powers are purely from talent while she had to work very hard to get her own to the same level. Her ability is high-level destructive magic. (Source: Wikipedia)
The family pet of the Niwa family and Dark's familiar spirit, With responding to Dark's call no matter where he is and transforming into a black, winged creature that becomes Dark's wings by clinging to his back. He can also perform other transformations, and can turn into Dark or Daisuke, but is not very adept at communicating verbally. For example, With's attempt to say "Daisuke" comes out as "daisuki" (lit:I really like (you)). Wiz does not like learning new words as well. With resembles a hybrid of a dog and a bunny (the closest animal Daisuke could compare it to was a lop-eared rabbit), and it is unknown how old With is. In this form, With normally says "Kyuu." He hates water, is afraid of scary movies, and hates Krad. In the English manga translation, With is known as "Wiz", or "Wizzy." With is the Japanese version, Wiz being the English manga version.
Maru is one of the two girls that led Watanuki into YÅ«ko's shop. It isn't stated whether the girls were created by YÅ«ko, Clow Reed, the both of them, or someone else entirely, but since they have no souls and cannot leave the shop, it can be assumed that they were created there. Possible Powers-In chapter 126, YÅ«ko explained why Maru and Moro are required to stay inside the shop. The shop itself is not seen by anyone unless they are fated to do business with YÅ«ko. Maru and Moro's concentration is what is keeping the shop in existence. As a side-effect, they have long deep bouts of sleep. They help out around the shop, but mostly act as the cheering squad. They almost always speak in unison, or close to it. Watanuki seems to get along with them most of the time, at least when they are not dragging him into one of YÅ«ko's plans. It is noted that Maru and Moro's full names are both words which mean "exposing oneself in public" – similar to "flashing" and "streaking" in English, and something that is quite possibly a pun on the 'xxx' part of xxxHOLiC. Even though the 'xxx' are intended to act as a variable in the title, their appearance resembles the 'XXX' which is synonymous with pornography. Given the target seinen audience, this double meaning is probably intentional. There are very few instances that Maru and Moro are in serious scenes. In the parasite angel chapter, Watanuki invited them to join him in the festival, however Maru and Moro said in unison (in a rather dazed look) "those without souls cannot leave this place... for their bodies will disintegrate." They also show some concern not only for YÅ«ko but also for Watanuki despite the fact they always annoy him. In volume 6 of the manga, when Watanuki came home from visiting the "lady in the park", Maru and Moro immediately sensed that something was wrong with Watanuki. When Watanuki finally collapsed, the two dragged Watanuki as far as the store's gates, saying "This is as far as we can go" before tossing Watanuki out to a waiting DÅmeki. In the anime, Watanuki also shows signs of slight affection to the two; in episode 18, when DÅmeki read a letter to Watanuki written by Mokona and Maru/Moro, Watanuki was somewhat pleased to see that they thought of him.
