A missing-nin and S-ranked criminal, "The Masked Man" is considered a highly dangerous ninja, able to effortlessly defeat other jinchūriki like Yugito Nii as well as several of Konohagakure's top-level ninja. Menma (メンマ, Menma), a character that appears in Naruto 6: Road to Ninja, is the son of Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze in the alternate universe of Konohagakure, thus making him the "Naruto Uzumaki" of that world. Kushina Uzumaki is a ninja of the former Land of the Whirlpool. She had a son, Naruto Uzumaki, with the Hokage of the time, Minato Namikaze. She is noted to have had a brash, tomboyish demeanor, long red hair, violet eyes, and as time passed, blossomed into a very beautiful woman. Despite Naruto's close resemblance to his father, much of his personality and choice of ninjutsu are said to be similar to that of his mother's. She is presumed to be dead, as she is described in past tense. Her face is shown in a couple slides as she is talking with Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze. In this part of the manga Jiraiya is lying on the ground while having flashbacks. In his flashbacks he is with Minato and Kushina as they are naming their unborn child "Naruto".
Background Amaru is a young girl who came from a village in the Land of Fire. When she was an infant, the Reibi was sealed into her to feed off the negative emotions of her surrounding villagers. Because of this, she became alone and shunned from social interaction with the people of her her village all her life. Later, she fell sick and was rescued by a kind doctor named Shinn�, who Amaru grew to idolize. After which, Amaru insisted for Shinn� to make her his student, to which he agreed. Naruto Shippūden 2: BondsAfter the infamous Sky Ninja decimated Konohagakure, Amaru arrived to aid in healing people alongside her sensei Shinn�. She quickly made it clear how much she admired her teacher. After helping with the injured, she and Shinn� were escorted back to their village by Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata. Upon arriving at the village, they discovered that it too was destroyed by the Sky Ninja. Horrified by the sight, Amaru accidentally triggered a trap that would have killed her had Shinn� not saved her at the cost of his own life. Wanting to make her sensei proud, Amaru joined Naruto in rescuing the villagers, which lead them to an old ruins that turned out to be the Sky Ninja's headquarters and mother ship. To Amaru's delight, she discovered that Shinn� was still alive. But her joy quickly turned to horror as Shinn� revealed that he was working with the Sky Ninja and that the kind man he appeared to be was a lie. He also revealed to have been the one who implanted the Reibi in her, so as to gather massive amounts of dark chakra. Falling into despair, she was given new hope from Naruto who convinced her that while Shinn� himself may have not believed in what he taught her, there is truth to valuing life. Amaru then went off to find and rescue the villagers that were locked up. When the mother ship began crashing from the sky, Naruto forced her to join the villagers in a smaller ship, but she chose to jump after Naruto to be there for him for a change. Shinnou was the main villain in Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds. He was the sensei of Amaru. He came to Amaru's village 15 years ago and after saving her life from a terrible illness, he was welcomed as a member of the village. During which, he revealed to be a former ninja who turned away from the path of battle to help save lives instead. When first introduced he and Amaru came to Konoha to get help for there village when the Sky Ninja appeared. During which, he demonstrated tremendous medical prowess be saving the lives several near-death victims from the Sky Ninja's attack. He and Amaru where then escorted back to their village by Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata. To their horror, when they arrived they found the village in ruins. When Amaru accidentally set of a trap, Shinnou quickly jumped in to save her seemingly at the cost of his own life. Later, he reappeared perfectly fine and revealed he used a special jutsu to create the illusion of death. He also revealed his affilation with the Sky Ninja and that the kind doctor he portrayed for years was nothing but a lie to gain Amaru's trust. He also revealed to have been the one who sealed the horrible Reibi within her to gather as much Dark Chakra from the villagers as possible. He then used the dark chakra to transform into what he called the "Ultimate Body", gaining tremendous physical prowess and the ability to freely manipulate his chakra. Initially, Shinnou repeatedly and effortless demolished Naruto no despite all his attempts, but after Naruto realized Shinnou's power came from Amaru's negative emotions from feeling betrayed, Naruto helped her to let got of her those feelings, stripping Shinnou of his power source and enabling Naruto to defeat him. Unfortunately, before the final blow could be made, Sasuke appeared and intervened as he was ordered by Orochimaru to retrieve the man. Already seeing through Shinnou's power, Sasuke used his Chidori Senbon to disrupt Shinnou's chakra flow, tricking Shinnou to strip himself of all his power and reducing him to a withered old man. Growing desperate, Shinnou retreated to a chamber with the main source of dark chakra. There, he merged with the Reibi's seedling and attempted finish off Naruto and Sasuke once and for one. But once the two unleashed the Nine-Tail's and the Cursed Seal's chakra, they were able to overfeed the cocoon and destroy it along with Shinnou.
The Fire Daimy� has a fickle and indecisive nature and is easily swayed in his decisions through biases as well as external influences. When situations call for fast, important decisions, he makes his advisers do the whole work: the one who convinces him most is the "winner". Tobi was formerly Zetsu's subordinate, and became a full Akatsuki member after Sasori's death. He now wears the same ring as Sasori, having recovered it after Sasori's death, and took his place as Deidara's partner. Unlike the majority of ninja thus far, Tobi has not been shown wearing a visible forehead protector, so his place of origin is unknown. He wears an orange mask with single eye-hole covered in a swirl pattern concentrated towards the right eye. This odd mask that covers his entire face save for his right eye. Furthermore, Tobi has several bolts or pins present on the arms of his uniform, now obscured by his Akatsuki cloak. Tobi's area of expertise remains unclear, as he has never been shown fighting. He and Deidara have defeated the three-tailed beast, but Tobi is never shown doing anything but running from it. After the battle, which goes largely unwitnessed, Tobi claims to have knocked it out with a single attack. Deidara disagrees with the assessment, claiming that it was his "artistic contribution" (exploding clay) that allowed them to win. During his fight with Sasuke, Tobi shows the ability to recover from what are presumably debilitating or fatal blows. After being slashed across the midsection by Sasuke's sword, Tobi collapses, only to stand up again a few seconds later and complain about the speed of the attack. Aside from this, Tobi has yet to demonstrate any techniques. Tobi has a very formal and correct manner of speech. While his physical appearance remains a mystery, Zetsu has implied that he is relatively young when one side of him referred to Tobi as a "good boy." He respects Deidara, referring to him as Deidara-senpai. Tobi's personality is rather odd in comparison with other Akatsuki members. While most of the members are dedicated and serious, though somewhat argumentative or even hostile towards each other when not fighting, Tobi is more carefree and goofy, much like Naruto. His personality does not please Deidara, who believes that all Akatsuki members should be serious and calm. Tobi unintentionally irritates Deidara frequently, which usually results in Deidara attacking Tobi in a comedic fashion. However, after Deidara and Itachi's death he is later seen and heard with a more serious and calm tone in his voice. The carefree side of Tobi is not seen again. Later Tobi claims to be Uchiha Madara, the founder of the Uchiha clan and first mangekyo sharingan user. He later changes his mask after obtaining the rinnegan to allow him to use both eyes simultaneously. In fourth ninja war, when he meets Naruto and Bee he says to be no one and that they could calling him Tobi, Madara or No One. In chapter 599 it is revealed that Tobi is actually Obito Uchiha who was teammates with Kakashi Hatake and Rin under the Fourth Hokage. Obito got his right side crushed when he saved Kakashi by pushing him out of the way of a rock slide. Unable to escape with his teammates, Obito had Rin implant his remaining Sharingan eye in Kakashi's damaged eye socket as a gift. After that it was believed that Obito died.

When Rin is kidnapped during the Kakashi Gaiden arc, Kakashi, the current team leader, insisted that they continue the mission instead of saving her. Citing that those who do not save their teammates are no better than trash, Obito refused and eventually managed to persuade Kakashi to join him. During their rescue effort Kakashi lost his left eye as a result of an enemy ninja's attack, and Obito awakened his Sharingan to save Kakashi and defeat the ninja. Once finding Rin, Obito again saved Kakashi by pushing him out of the way of a rock slide, though has his right side crushed in the process.
