He is the primary protagonist of the story who transfers to an all-boys school and becomes one of the Princesses. He seems enthusiastic about it since all the Princesses get a lot of free stuff and added luxuries. His parents died in an accident, which is when his uncle and aunt adopted him. He seems to be very reluctant about spending time with his family, which mainly has to do with his younger step-sister Sayaka, who has an unhealthy obsession with him. He mainly uses his job as a Princess as a distraction from the problems he has with his family and in effect usually gets very in to acting like a Princess, much like Yuujiro. He often teams up with Yuujiro to tease Mikoto, much to Mikoto's chagrin. Yuujiro often jokingly says he and Toru are lovers. In fact when Toru's stepsister, Sayaka, comes looking for Toru, Yuujiro kisses him to scare her away, and they have since been seen blushing in each others presence.
A teacher at Aogiri High School, Sakura serves as the Survival Game Club's adviser. She is a ditz and is often shown accidentally making matters worse for her students, and is thus called "The Female Teacher Who Summons Storms."
Black is a figthing dog doberman that is Max's worse enemy. Black hates both Dolgae and Max. He is a very vicious dog that at first only hurts other dogs but later starts to attack humans as well for revenge for having been abused by his dog fighting trainer.

Ririchiyo is constantly in distress about not being able to communicate with people properly and decided to move to the Ayakashi Kan in order to be alone. She later befriends Karuta and Watanuki who both attend the same school and live in the Ayakashi Kan. She is the first character in Japanese anime and manga to be classified as a tsunshun instead of tsundere because she gets depressed (shun) instead of getting modest (dere) after behaving in a conceited manner. In the end, she confesses to Soushi. She also promises to bear his child in the future. In the future where everybody except Sorinozuka dies, she goes to Ayakashi Kan and resides in the 1st floor with Miketsukami as her SS. Since the first time she meets Soushi and a 41-year-old Sorinozuka she starts to get visions of her past life until Kagerou forces her to remember everything. Although she doesn't love the current Soushi because her only love was the previous Soushi, she nearly died protecting him from a cursed Karasuma Kuroe. Since they decided to send letters to their past selves to warn them about Inugami, everything that happens after the time capsule event in anime episode 12 will be rewritten and Ririchiyo won't confess to Soushi yet.

Introduced in the first chapter, Yuuri's high school life is parallel to Futaba's middle school life. She is very cute, causing her to be despised by many girls in her class, and she is often left alone. Yuuri gets by very well, however, for she prefers to be hated for who she truly is than to be liked for someone she isn't. Yuuri and Futaba soon become best friends. She falls in love with Kou after he helps her during a class leader's camp. Yuuri greatly treasures her friendship with Futaba, but often gets jealous of Futaba's closeness with Kou.
She is considered to be one of the best in the business. She was raised as a test subject by her scientist parents who died in the catastrophic earthquake. She was protected by the bustier made by her parents and thus survived. She was then picked up by Aida Gozo, who raised her, and later on she works in Gozo's office as a Salvager. Aika possesses a unique battle suit made out of 'ultranate' (or more accurately just "alternate metal" from the katakana), shaped into a golden bustier that transforms her into a dark-skinned and blue-haired woman with supernatural strength and resilience. But she dislikes the perfection attained by the transformation and tries not to rely on it. Although not used in the anime, in this form she is called Shivie Aika. She is constantly fighting with Gust, who either tries to steal her bounty or hits on her. Aika will do anything to get the job done, even if it means sacrificing her morals.
