A classmate of Kasuga who is portrayed as alone, isolated, and aloof. She has no friends. Nakamura witnesses Kasuga stealing Saeki's uniform and blackmails him to become her friend and form a contract. She displays hostile and rude behavior toward Kasuga, but can often be seen enjoying herself when with him. Though she maintains a usually sane and calm demeanor, Nakamura has occasionally had emotional outbursts when expressing herself to Kasuga. It is hinted that her desire to "escape" with Kasuga stems from a desire to no longer be alone. Nakamura earnestly believes that even if Kasuga chooses to stay or leave her, she will ultimately be isolated.

Battle Beast is a member of Duel Academy in Fusion Dimension and the most powerful student of Sanders. As he proved to be too violent to control, the Battle Beast is kept at Duel Academy. He uses the "Gladiator Beast" deck. In terms of personality, he is blindly competitive and savage, to the degree of coming off as feral, the Battle Beast has no problem in defeating his own comrades and sealing them into cards. Even sealing his opponents may not necessarily save them from the Battle Beast's wrath; he once attempted to crush a card containing one of his victims. Even when calm, he is shown to be very arrogant and sadistic, revelling in others' fear and suffering while showing no restraint. When called out on his actions, the Battle Beast only responds with absolute indifference. His competitiveness can be used against him to a degree; Yuuya, Noboru, and Crow all exploited this in order to cause him to target them. His savagery is such that he is referred as being "Duel starved" and has show violent tendencies like physically assaulting his opponents if needed. Despite his savagery and undeniable skill, the Battle Beast seems to something of a coward; attacking from the shadows and retreating behind his Continuous Trap Cards when cowed. This is further reflected in his play style, given the tag-out effects of the "Gladiator Beasts". BB seems to struggle dealing with constant pressure and threats from Sanders and dislikes taking orders from him. A friend of Kasuga. He is friends with Kasuga when things go well for him, but ignores Kasuga when things... don't go well.

A middle school student who has a huge love for literature and a crush on Saeki. It is because of his infatuation of Saeki that he steals her gym uniform. Sawa Nakamura, an isolated loner in Kasuga's class witnesses him stealing the uniform. She then blackmails him into forming a contract, tying them together as "friends." Initially against his contract with Nakamura, he cautiously followed her requests and disliked their meetings. However, over time he begins to see that Nakamura is actually lonely, and longs to escape from the people of the town, much like himself. Kasuga later develops strong feelings for Nakamura, promising to one day take her to the "other side."

Saeki Nanako is a smart, popular girl admired by many, but especially by a boy named Kasuga Takao. She accidently leaves her gym clothes on the floor and they are stolen by a mysterious "pervert". Despite this, she manages to keep on smiling and manages to date her lover Kasuga. However everything starts to go downhill because of Nakamura's constant interfering.
