Lucy appeared in the episode Queen of the Serpentine!. In the anime, it was mentioned that she does not teach her Pokémon defensive moves. Before battling Ash, she had rescued his Pikachu from Team Rocket with her Seviper, defeating Jessie's Seviper in the process. In the battle, Ash started off by using his Donphan against Lucy's Seviper. For a while, Lucy seemed to be having the upper hand despite the type disadvantage. However, Ash managed to turn the tables on the serpent Pokémon by using Donphan's Rollout to counter Seviper's Flamethrower, knocking it out of the battle. Lucy then sent out her Milotic which easily took out Donphan with just a single powerful Hydro Pump attack. Left with no other choice, Ash decide to use Pikachu. However, again, despite the type disadvantage, Lucy almost managed to defeat the electric-mouse Pokémon by treating it to a barrage of Hydro Pumps and Twisters. She even used paralysis to her advantage by using Facade. Ash finally managed to defeat it and win the match when he innovated a move by making Pikachu jump inside one of the twisters and using a spinning Volt Tackle. In addition to her preference of serpentine Pokémon, Lucy also seems to have a soft spot for squinty eyes, as she was shown to keep several pet Pokémon at home, all of which had squinty eyes. She develops a crush on Brock due to his squinty eyes. Lucy in the anime is very different from her game self personality wise. In the anime, though quiet, Lucy seems to be a rather a nice person, allowing Ash to battle her even though the Pike was closed that particular day. She also congratulated him on his victory. In the games, however, she is narcissistic and seems to be very irritated when the player defeats her. Her change of attitude in the anime can be attributed to her crush on Brock and a desire to impress him.
Anime: Scott first appeared in The Scheme Team. After observing Ash's battle against Agatha, Scott recommended that Ash go to the Battle Frontier. He next appeared in Numero Uno Articuno to observe Ash's battle against Noland. After that, Scott appeared at every battle facility to observe Ash's battle against the resident Frontier Brain. He hasn't been seen since Ash defeated Brandon. In Gathering the Gang of Four!, it was revealed that Scott is the owner of the Battle Frontier. According to him, he created the Battle Facilities to expand the art of Pokémon battle. In Pace - The Final Frontier!, Scott asked Ash to be a Frontier Brain after he defeated Pyramid King Brandon, the last Frontier Brain. Ash declined. Due to the fact that he wears sunglasses often, his eyes are almost never seen. Scott is also known for reckless driving. He drives rather fast, regardless of what kind of terrain he is on. Manga: In correspondence with Pokémon Emerald version, Scott appears as the founder of the Battle Frontier in the Emerald chapter of Pokémon Adventures. He also makes a cameo in the Ruby and Sapphire chapter during the fight between Groudon and Kyogre.
Isamu is a young Trainer from Pallet Town who received a Pokédex from Professor Oak and was sent on a quest to find out more about Pokémon. Isamu encounters a violent male Clefairy on his way to Professor Oak's lab, and together they defeat a giant Nidoran by accident. When Clefairy follows Isamu to the laboratory, Isamu chooses to travel with the Clefairy because he finds his antics amusing. Unlike his rival, Isamu doesn't catch a lot of Pokémon. He has two (later three) favorites, which he keeps outside their Poké Balls. He has caught several others, including Articuno, but never uses them in battle. He continues his journey in Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire, the sequel to Pokémon Pocket Monsters that takes place in Hoenn, and in Pocket Monsters DP, the second sequel of Pokémon Pocket Monsters that takes place in Sinnoh. Birch was first mentioned in a flashback of Harrison on Johto Photo Finish. His first appearance was in Get The Show On The Road when he gave May her Torchic. He later appeared in Dewford Town in both A Three Team Scheme! and Seeing is Believing!. Birch also appeared in A Six Pack Attack, when he was meeting Professor Oak. Later, Birch was seen in The Evolutionary War! at a vacation on A-B-C Islands. Over there, he and the twerps cleared the mystery of the Clamperl evolution. Birch's most recent appearance was a short cameo in The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon; it is unknown if he will appear again since the main characters have left the Hoenn region. His preferred mode of transport is a jeep that he drives recklessly. Due to the relationship between characters in the games, it is widely speculated that Birch is the father of Brendan's anime counterpart. He is shrouded in mystery for most of the Battle Frontier saga. Unlike the other Frontier Brains, his silhouette is not shown on its own during the opening and is only seen in the center of the group shot. Trainers will only find out the location of the Battle Pyramid after they have collected the other six Symbols. This may mean that Brandon ranks higher than the rest of the Frontier Brains, although in the video games and manga, this position belongs to Anabel. When Ash finally gets his sixth Frontier Symbol in Second Time's the Charm!, he learns that it is located near Pewter City. His first battle with Brandon occurred in Battling the Enemy Within!. At the time, however, Ash was possessed by an ancient king of the Pyramid who battled Brandon's Regirock with Ash's Sceptile. Sceptile was defeated, although Ash eventually regained control of his body, and the Pyramid was moved to an area near the Indigo Plateau. For their second battle in Overjoyed!, Ash's Torkoal squared off against Brandon's Registeel. However, Torkoal was, like Sceptile, defeated by Brandon's Legendary Pokémon. In Gathering the Gang of Four, Ash and co. met up with Brandon in a forest. In Pace - The Final Frontier!, Brandon and Ash fought in a 4 vs. 4 battle. Brandon's Dusclops defeated Ash's Charizard in the first round, but was then defeated by Ash's Bulbasaur. Then, Brandon's Ninjask squared off against Ash's Squirtle, where Squirtle was able to beat Ninjask with a Hydro Pump. In the next round, Squirtle was defeated by Brandon's Solrock, which in turn drew with Bulbasaur. With both competitors left to their last Pokémon, Ash used Pikachu while Brandon unveiled yet another Pokémon from his legendary collection: this time, a Regice. Despite the odds, however, Pikachu managed to hold its own against the legendary golem and came out victorious, becoming only the second Pokémon in the anime to have defeated a Legendary Pokémon, after Charizard. Brandon appeared again in A Pyramiding Rage!, where he wanted to research the Snowpoint Temple. While meeting up with Ash and friends, he is challenged to a full battle by Paul. Paul loses the match easily due to him losing control of his emotions. Brandon later mentions that they would battle again when Paul is ready. In Pillars of Friendship, Brandon tries, and fails, to stop Pokémon Hunter J from disturbing Regigigas in the Snowpoint Temple, which then goes on a rampage. It eventually calms down when Brandon saves it from being turned into a statue by J. Brandon then decides to stay at the Snowpoint Temple, not only to rebuild it, but also allow Regirock, Regice, and Registeel to become the new pillars that protect Regigigas.
Katrina (Japanese: カクリ Kakuri) is a character of the day from the Pokémon anime who appeared in A Bite to Remember. Katrina is a Ranger and has three Mightyena and a Poochyena that she used to protect the Pokémon reserve Ash and company were in. At the end of the episode, her Poochyena evolved after fighting off Team Rocket. She also takes care of injured Pokémon and nurses them back to health. Bubapedia
Georgio sends a letter saying to Misty that he likes her. He challenges Misty to a battle and if Misty lost, she would have to date him and go to the Electabuzz vs. Starmies Baseball Game with him. Casey and her Meganium were watching their battle. Before the battle could start, Georgio's Delcatty was being Pokénapped by Butch and Cassidy. Their battle continued after Misty, Casey and Georgio defeated Butch and Cassidy and rescued Delcatty. Misty won the battle, and promises she and Georgio will battle again someday. Casey wanted to go to the baseball game, but she had to battle Georgio for the ticket. Although Casey and Elekid lost, Georgio still decided to take her to the game.
