Cologne is the great-grandmother of Shampoo. She accompanies Shampoo on her return to Japan, and opens the Cat Café in Furinkan. She is a contemporary of Happosai, and well over one hundred years old. She calls Ranma "bride-groom" and "son-in-law" due to her attempts to have him marry Shampoo, and just to watch him become enraged. She is a grand master of martial arts, and occasionally teaches Ranma and his rivals new techniques. She gets around by pogoing on a gnarled wooden staff that she sometimes uses as a weapon. She is the grand master of the Chinese Amazon martial arts, allowing her to manipulate water and ice, create whirlwinds using an opponent's aura against them, shatter inanimate objects with a simple touch, and touch pressure points to make a person feel like they are burning with even the slightest amount of heat. Takaaki is the main male character. Takaaki is childhood friends with Konomi and sees her as a younger sister. In the anime, it is noted that he has an aversion to most girls save for Konomi and Tamaki, mainly because of their childhood friendship. He is a kind young man who, despite his shy nature around girls, is often very kind to them when the situation arises.
A 14-year-old boisterous orphaned street kid, who survived on the streets by hustling adult basketball players with his phenomenal skills. He was selected to join the Earth All-Star team because of his superhuman speed. Hideyoshi is prone to paralyzing due to migraines during practice or in games. It was later revealed by DT that he is growing horns because he is a half-Goran. Hideyoshi wears a wristband made of unique elastic material found only on the planet Goru, the sole memento from his unknown parents.
The teenage granddaughter of the team's creator, Yoshimune. Cha-che wanted nothing more than pleasing her grandfather and making his long-term dream come true: lead a complete team of Earthlings that will eventually conquer the Intergalactic League. She challenged Maru to a shooting match in order to join the team, where she sank a half-court shot. She is an extremely good sharpshooter who sank 2 10-point baskets early in the game against the Swallows, the first team they faced. In the anime, her shooting skills was the basis of a comeback which allowed her team to triumph over the Smoky Kings. She is very rude to Hideyoshi and early on is one of the most annoying characters in the anime, however her attitude changes throughout the anime and becomes more kind.
Jersey number: 21 Position: small forward Lazuli comes form the Smoky Queens team of the Underground League. Their dirty game earned them the nickname of Bloody Queens. They were the first opponent of the Earth team, in which a deal was made. It sais that if the Earth team loses they will have to trade Cha-Che over so that she can be a leg-flashing cheerleader. After the Earth team wins, the real reason for the game is revealed, the wish of Yoshimune to recruit Lazuli to his team. In the second season, it is revealed that he is actually a woman.
Liz is the coach for the Earth team, and is half Goran. Her father, Mr. Murdoch, is the Goran president of the Intergalatic Basketball League.
