A human reporter who became a vampire so to assassinate Mina during the News conference. She became a suicide bomb by surgically placing C4 inside her own stomach. Her plan was stopped by Akira and Vera driving stake through her heart and Akira throwing the bomb down the elevator shaft (though this accidentally caused damaged to the underground settlement Mina was having constructed). She worked for the terrorist organization Telomere.
Growing up in the world of humans, Akira met Mina as a child and became strongly attached to her, making her a promise to always protect her. This became a reality later in his life, when it was revealed by his father that Akira's purpose for being born was to protect Mina. Akira cares deeply for Mina, going so far as to protect her at the sacrifice of his own body if need be. Akira is from clan of gaia which is a clan of werewolves, because of this he has incredible resistance to physical harm and amazing regenerative abilities, in addition to fierce raw strength. After vampires are revealed to the world and he is forced into protecting Mina constantly, he comes into conflict with his fellow human students, almost all of whom immediately treat him with distrust and hate for supposedly siding with the vampires. She is Houko's younger sister and author of the killing good called "The Injection of Eternal Sleep" that can kill people either by being injected or being knicked. She's often very unpredictable and constantly on the edge when her lust for blood is not satisfied which is why she is very much depended on Houko as her "Instead." Her first victims are her parents, in which Houko took the blame for it so as to keep her from being incriminated. It wasn't clear why she and her sister, Houko refer to themselves as "twins" when they're neither identical nor fraternal, however it is hinted that it was the bond that they have for each other that they refer to themselves as "twins."
