He his framed for the murder of his uncle, the former king of Palencia, who entrusted him the Silver Noah before expressing his will to help Arc in his quest and soon being assassinated by Andel, ministry of Palencia corrupted by the Dark One, thus reluctently leading the world's governments to the Great Disaster and satisfying his thirst for destruction.

Arai went to the same middle school as Haruhi. He is bright but shy, rather normal, and is on the soccer team. He used to have a crush on Haruhi. He even confessed to her and asked her out, but she mistook his words for something else. He took the fact that she didn't recognize what he was saying as a sign of rejection. He has since gotten over her (sort of), but he is glad to see and talk to her again. He works at Arai Grocery (his uncle's shop) in Karuizawa as a summer job. He ends up as Saikawa's "dog" and under his orders, attempts to sabotage Toua. He leaves the team after being inspired by Toua's words that a low percentage chance means it's not 0%, and leaves to retrain and try to restart his baseball career in America.

A Qhardi who graduated a valedictorian from the Kuzan Royal University. She is involved in the water importation deals with various groups. Ostensibly, she seeks peaceful resolution to conflicts arising between the Kuzans and the Qhardis.
