Motegi is one of Fumi's friends at Matsuoka Girls' High School. She, Youko and Misako appear to be long-time friends giving one another the nicknames Mogi, Pon-chan and Yassan respectively. She belongs to the very tiny Drama Club and seems to enjoy theatrics. Mogi begins dating Akira's older brother Shinobu later on in the series after meeting him and spending time with him during a trip to Kyouko's villa during the summer.

Okudaira Sakiko is the mother of Akira and Shinobu. She is long-time friends with Fumi's mother and the Manjoume family. Her relationship with Fumi's mother is rekindled when they move back, and she is rather excited to have her friend again. She has a very close relationship with both her children as she is seen joking around with them and having conversations with them regularly. However, she is also rather stern and blunt. Whenever Akira and Shinobu fight, one glare from her is enough to quieten them. She often has to tell Shinobu to get a life and leave Akira alone. Akiko was considered to be the "outlaw" of the family by Keiko, her very disapproving relative in Yokohama, whom she makes Akira go visit.

Okudaira Akira and Shinobu's father, Okudaira Shouko's husband. He is the patriarch of the family and is moderately in tune to the lives of his children, though his involvement in their lives is rather unwanted and exasperates them. His doggedness and tactlessness in enquiring about their lives is highly reminiscent to Shinobu's behaviour, and the young man says that his father is more persistent than even him. He attends Akira's schools functions, and goes to the drama festival both years even though in the first, Akira only worked as a stagehand. He knows that Shinobu is dating Mogi and boldly asks him in front of Shouko and Akira if the two have "done anything funny" together as yet, much to the disgust of the Okudaira women. Most of the time, he likes to sit and read the paper. Unlike his wife, whenever Akira and Shinobu fights, he just asks them what is going on and leaves it at that and returns to whatever he is doing; so it seems his wife is the disciplinarian in the family.

The third eldest Sugimoto sister. Kuri is a rather cynical and dry character. She is the only one in the family who does not spoil Yasuko by letting her do whatever she wants. She is very aware of Yasuko's selfish nature and is concerned about her sister's relationship with Fumi as she knows Yasuko will eventually hurt the younger girl. She enjoys smoking. Kuri also attended Fujigaya as did all the elder Sugimoto sisters. She was also subject to admiration from other girls though she never indulged any of them and ignored them for the most part. Her best friend was in love with her, but she never was privy to this. Kuri was also in love with Kagami, though nobody except Kazusa and Yasuko seemed to be fully aware of this. Yasuko eventually, out of spite, lets the cat out of the bag and eventually even Shinako finds out about it. Unlike Yasuko, she never told Kagami how he felt as he is betrothed to her older sister.

She is the President of the Literature Club in Matsuoka Girls' High School. She is on good terms with Fumi as the club is rather small; they are seen together reading books and having tea as part of the club's activities. She is a close school friend of Sugimoto Yasuko and is very aware of her popularity, often making fun of Yasuko being "Mr. Matsuoka-sama". She is seen to be very exasperated at Yasuko's presence in the club, as potential members usually leave to follow Yasuko in the basketball club.

After the death of his father, Akihito, at the age of 10 becomes the master of Kuze household. Having grown up in Kamakura, he lacks manners as well as knowledge that are needed to exist in the society. At the age of 10 he moves to the main house where he's supervised by butler Katsuragi Tomoyuki who's determined to get a title higher than Earl for Akihito. Akihito realizes he's in love with Katsuragi. However, he thinks that Katsuragi hates him and gives up on trying to win his heart over, and settles for Katsuragi's body. He doesn't hide his feelings for him though, being as honest and impulsive as he is. Akihito keeps on saying that he doesn't care about Katsuragi's past, he just wants to be with him. He's voiced by Hatano Wataru in drama CD.
