Kaaya is an Oracle who specializes in defensive and healing spells. She meets Jil after he injures himself fighting a group of Climbers, and she takes him to her house and heals his wounds. He later joins her and Ahmey's climber party. She uses a long wand and is at time seen placing small runes into a slot at the top to perform certain spells. She is a descendant of Ki, who aided Gilgamesh in his battle against Druaga.
A mage who acts irresponsibly. He comes from a wealthy family, but he left them for some reason. A spendthrift, he has a predilection for women. His assistant is Coopa.
The scout of Neeba's group, he possesses street smarts and uses knives as his preferred weapon. It is revealed that he became a climber in order to help his impoverished home town. But, after discovering the secret of the caskets, he is killed. After he was killed, the magic of the Tower created a sort of hollographic double of Kally (called a doppelganger) to try and attack the rest of the party. Neeba was able to tell the doppelganger that attacked him was not the realy Kally as while the doppelganger attacked using the right hand, Kally was actually left handed. Kally was left as dead.
A member of Neeba's party. Encased in armour, he is the main attacker of the group, and he wields a battle axe. While the mask of his helm has been lifted twice so far in the series, it has always been at an angle that denies the audience the chance to see his face, thus leaving his appearence and age unknown. When the group becomes seperated, he travels with Kally and Coopa, but becomes seperated from Kally when protecting Coopa. In The Sword of Uruk, he was shown without any armor.
A general in the Uruk army.
11th Division Captain Born: 19th November (Area 80 North) Height: 202 cm Weight: 108 kg Hates: Natto Hobbies: Fighting strong opponents Theme Song: "Superpredators" by Massive Attack Note: The only Captain who didn't take the exam to become a Shinigami. Zaraki's surname comes from the district he once resided in, Zaraki, which is district #80 of the North Alley of Rukongai. District #80 is the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai, full of thieves and murderers (whereas area #1 is the most orderly and law-abiding). While residing in District #80, Kenpachi was nameless. During that time, he became proficient in swordsmanship and killed numerous enemies. At some point during his travels outside of District #80, he found a small girl and named her Yachiru (八), in remembrance of the only person he ever admired, after she showed no fear of his sword. Yachiru came from area #79, Kusajishi (鹿), where her parents were murdered. The two events were apparently quite close. On that day, he also took on a name: Kenpachi, the title bestowed upon the strongest swordsman, the one who has killed the most. The two developed a father-daughter-like relationship. Also, at some point (before he became a Captain), he fought and defeated Ikkaku Madarame; for this reason, Ikkaku pledged to serve under Kenpachi from there on out (Ikkaku doesn't actually get the chance to do so until he joins the 11th Division), but Ikkaku would still jump at the chance to fight Kenpachi to the death. After some time had passed, Kenpachi found his way to the Seireitei. He defeated and killed the previous Captain of the 11th Division (whose identity is currently unknown) and gained his seat in the Gotei 13 in this manner. In the anime, his assumption of the Captain's seat caused Maki Ichinose to leave the Soul Society. According to the anime, it is also what convinced Ikkaku and Yumichika to join the Shinigami.
