Gender: Female Age: 15 Birth date: 24 December Blood type: AB Ability: Change beads into bombs She creates special accessories in order to use her beads in more constructive ways such as: Rinko Rocket: Made of a special alloy and then filled with beads. She uses this blast herself up into the air. Beads Cannon: Special metal tubes that are filled with beads and then go over her fingers so that she can detonate one bead and send the rest of them rapidly at her opponents. Her recent accessory is a special glove with beads hidden inside when used with her power, producing a force impact that claims to be as great as a close-contact weapon. She comes from a rich family and in the past many people had pretended to be her friend so that she would buy them things. Disillusioned with the seeming coldheartedness of the world, she succumbs to Robert's hypnotic charisma and joins the Ten. Initially, Rinko has a crush on Robert since he treats her as a real friend but she eventually sees Robert for what he really is and joins up with Ueki, indeed becoming his guardian and constant caretaker. Rinko's Celestial King Candidate is a man named Nikay, one of Margarette's followers whom she hasn't seen since the battle began. She loves all animals, taking an immediate liking to Tenko (whom she calls "Tenko-chan"), but her weakness for cute things makes her vulnerable to Ban's power. Note that it is wise not to insult her no matter what, for she has a side to her that makes her incredibly unhealthy for the person who insults her. She doesn't seem to realize that she has this "evil" side and fortunately for her, she forgets whatever her "evil" side says or does. This "evil" side seems to be activated whenever someone insults her. Example : When Ban calls her an "insect," which causes her to become furious and unlock her "evil" side. This evil side has no love for animals, as shown when she remorselessly swats away Ban's cute, living Pick with her special glove, then beats Ban up by slapping him with the glove relentlessly. In another instance at the end of the manga series when she confesses her love to Robert, but Robert insults her (although he doesn't really meant to) by calling her "small fry." Robert becomes her second victim and has to be hospitalized for a fortnight. In the epilogue at the last episode of the anime, Ai says that Rinko and Robert only dated once but Rinko dumped Robert for unknown reasons. (Source : Wikipedia)
Blood Type: A Birthday: June 29, 1982 Age: 19-23 Favorite Manga: Anman Dama Favorite Anime: Fun with the Tarurun Family (before the theme song changed) Favorite Game: Exitge Pen Name: KODAMA Zodiac Sign: Cancer Ringtone: Laputa: Castle in the Sky theme The stuttering, heavyset Kugayama is Genshiken's only artist until Ogiue's arrival. He generally lacks the motivation and commitment to create a full-fledged djinshi. In volume 5, Sasahara asks Kugayama to draw a djinshi for Comic-Fest, which he fails to do until Saki forces him, Ogiue, and Sasahara to make one under a very tight schedule. He is given the nickname 'Kugapii' by Saki. In volume 6, he graduates and begins work at a medical device manufacturing company in Iidabashi. Kugayama, though at first a seemingly mediocre artist, is actually quite talented. However, his talent only appears when he is properly motivated, i.e. when drawing more erotic imagery, particularly that of Yamada from Kujibiki Unbalance. (Source: Wikipedia)
Blood Type: B Birthday: February 2, 1984 Age: 18-22 Favorite Manga: The Mysterious Adventures of DaDa Favorite Anime: pretty much anything Favorite Game: Full Armor, Street Master 2, Draculina Hunter Pen Name: Toshizo (トシゾー, Toshiz?) Zodiac Sign: Aquarius Ringtone: Hana no ko Lunlun Unusually handsome and cute, Kousaka is actually one of the most hardcore otaku in Genshiken. He loves hentai games and is undefeatable when it comes to video games, particularly the fighting genre. As Saki's boyfriend, Kousaka is largely responsible for Saki learning to be patient when it comes to dating an otaku. Kousaka can be considered the exception to the rules of stereotypical otaku, as he is able to juggle fashion with an otaku lifestyle, though after getting a job programming for a porn game company, even Kousaka cannot completely keep up with such a hectic schedule. Kousaka is easy-going and never loses his temper, a trait portrayed by the constant smile on his face. However, he can be rather forceful when the need arises, particularly when it comes to keeping Saki from avoiding her promises. (Source: Wikipedia)
Birthday: December 22 Blood type: AB Favorite Manga: The Seven Star Stories Favorite Anime: Ryunos: the castle in the Sky, Conan the boy from the Future Favorite Games: Yuujiro Tactic, The Story of Mr.Stupid Game Character: Dr.Haywood Ringtone: FFX - Hurry Of the three original upperclassmen, Tanaka's personality is more neutral than the others. He is generally not as eager to rant as Madarame, but is more comfortable with himself than Kugayama. A hardcore cosplayer and costume designer, Tanaka is able to bring what should be impractical or even impossible costumes to life. Tanaka is also an expert plamo (plastic model) builder and is not afraid to teach anyone who is willing to learn. While well-versed in many areas of model and figure culture, Tanaka is personally not experienced with figure-modeling, but attempts to learn by sculpting a model of Shinobu from Kujibiki Unbalance. Tanaka finds his dream girl in Ohno, who becomes not only the ideal model for his costumes, but also his girlfriend. He also makes costumes for Saki and Ogiue, though this can be attributed to his love of costume design, and not any sort of romantic feelings towards either of them. Tanaka believes that models and cosplay are two separate worlds, and treats those two worlds somewhat differently. "Figures are figures. Cosplay is cosplay." (Source: Wikipedia)
Introduced in volume two of the manga, Kuchiki becomes a full-member of Genshiken together with Ogiue in volume four apparently after being kicked out of the Anime Club. Kuchiki is a very abrasive individual, with a loud and obnoxious style of speech and no qualms about doing indecent or improper things (such as spying on girls). He was a part of the Anime Society before he joined Genshiken. He wants to be nicknamed Kuchi (クッー Kucchī?) and enjoys it when people use this nickname. He is also not ashamed to cosplay. Kuchiki is actually the second-best fighting game player in Genshiken, next to Kousaka. He twice expects himself to be named the next Genshiken president, only to be passed over by Ohno and then Ogiue. Mostly a background comedic character, Kuchiki is used as a goad for a good many of Genshiken's slapstick and off-color jokes. One might even consider him a boke to the rest of the Genshiken's tsukkomi. In the relaunch of the manga, it is revealed that Kuchiki doesn't need to look for a job since he's pretty much guaranteed to have a job at a local bank thanks to family connections. At the start of the series Jasmine is a wild orphan girl who lives a solitary life in the dangerous Forests of Silence. She has messy coal black hair which frames her elfin like face and emerald green eyes. She is often described as impatient and lonely but with a good heart. Her only friends in the Forests are the raven named Kree and a small furry animal called Filli. Jasmine understands the language of trees and many other animals. She is independent, like Lief, though she displays far less tact. She is also unafraid of standing up for what she believes in, if she feels something is injust or incorrect she explains her view without any fear of repremadation. She believes in equal rights and fairness, her only problem is that she cannot understand people who will not fight for themselves. Growing up all alone, Jasmine knows how to fend for herself. She usually gets her own way. Jasmine is unable to comprehend how easily many people can be tricked by fancy words and promises. In the series she finds her long lost father and they are once again reunited. She is about the same age as Lief (16). Also during the series, Jasmine competes in a contest in which she describes her special skill as agility. She shows romantic interest in Lief, even though they don't always see eye to eye. In the second series Jasmine and Lief's romance hits a new level. There seems to be quite a love triangle. Their bond continues to grow in each series. (from: Wikipedia)
