When he made his official debut in Hetalia World Series, his hair was changed to being blonde and his eyes were changed to blue. Back when they were under the rule of Denmark, Sweden and Finland ran away and began living together. Finland was later overpowered by Russia and was under his control; he claimed to be “freer” when living in Russia’s house, but didn’t have as much fun as he did with Sweden. Sweden’s adopted son is Sealand, whom he bought from an online auction. He also has partial custody of Latvia and Estonia, which came to be after he and Finland ran away from Denmark. He doesn’t talk much and seems very mysterious and scary due to his intimidating appearance. It was said that he came to be that way because he was born in a cold place. He thinks of himself as the “big brother” figure out of the Nordics, and is always sporting a goofy and cheerful grin no matter what the situation. At one point in history, he lived with and had control over Finland and Sweden, only to have them eventually rebel and leave due to his hard-to-get-along-with nature. They were said to be unable to tolerate his lifestyle and behavior, which was very different from their own. He considers Norway to be his best friend, even though Norway doesn’t think of them as being that close. They’ve known each other since childhood, and Denmark’s grown to feel strongly towards him. Usually, Norway can be found making fun of and bullying Denmark, but Denmark’s too dense to be able to realize this. His personality can be found as being somewhat obnoxious to others; he’s really stubborn and doesn’t listen to people very well. On top of that, he is demanding, bossy, and very controlling. Although it’s said that he’s hard to get along with, he’s actually pretty friendly and good-humored. He is also a hard worker despite it being said that he possesses a carefree attitude. Although his official human name has not been decided, Hidekaz Himaruya revealed in a blog post that he has considered “Abel,” “Andersen,” “Arneson,” “Bertram,” “Christensen,” “Magnus,” “Mikkel,” and “Simon” as possible first names with the possible surname “Densen.”
At first Toshi is a mentally fragile weak little boy who can't stand up for himself. He cries for everything and nothing. After he meets Mon, who shows him without mercy how a man could be if he fights for everything he wants, Toshi starts to metamorphose into a much more evil human than Mon. Toshi loses his mind against the thing he turns into and is unable to be any longer a running member of society. He becomes a devil with a fanatical thirst for destruction.

He has dark hair (with a double-curled ahoge down by his neck, similar to Greece’s), gold eyes, and olive skin, though his skin is shown being fair in the anime adaptation. In his younger days, Turkey had the attitude to take over all of Europe. Many other countries were quite scared of him at the time. Ironically today, he wants to be friends with said European countries. Several times in the past, Turkey took over Greece. It is because of this that the two don’t get along very well today. They can’t stand to look at each other, let alone be in the same room. A cease-fire was recently decided on, but even so, they’ll probably never get along soundly and never quit competing with each other. He also, at one time, used to pick on Hungary and tried conquering Romano (but was stopped by Spain). Turkey is known as being merry, lively, loyal, and friendly, but stubborn, competitive, and nosy. He’s also quite the show off, constantly looking for new ways to stay in style and entertain tourists, which he considers a hobby. He’s somewhat of a gourmet, and loves sweet things as well as baths. It was shown that he uses a huge amount of sugar in his coffee, and that he carries around apple juice with him to drink while on breaks. He speaks in an Edo dialect, and is the only country who considers the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as an official country. Also to note is that his human name, “Sadık,” means “loyal” in Turkish.
Takeshi Iijima, also named "the greatest hunter," served in many wars and survived each time. Even though he returned after each war, his mind never really did. His primary targets are Mon and Misumi, but then he unavoidably faces Higumadon.
