Nemu is the lieutenant of the 12th Division in the Gotei 13, under captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Nemu is the artificially created daughter of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, a combination of his research in artificial bodie and artificial souls. This past has driven her to become rather introverted and melancholic, preferring to stay silent in her captain's presence. Their relationship is far from the average father-daughter one, as Mayuri doesn't seem to care much for Nemu's well-being (using her as bait in combat). The most that can be said in his favor is that he has occasionally implied concern over her life as a point of personal pride in his own skill as her creator. Despite being abused and mistreated in every possible way by her captain and father, Nemu still shows great loyalty to him, and has openly expressed worry at the prospect of his death, likely due to her implied gratitude that Kurotsuchi brought her into the world. Unlike her father, however, she seems to have compassion for others, saving Uryū Ishida's life as a thank you for not killing Mayuri. Based on the 13 squad episode endings and the Bount arc, Nemu's fighting style seems to be a combination of capoeira-like martial arts, and kid� attacks. Nemu's body was designed to withstand fatal injury, though still suffers the pain brought on by her injuries. This extends to being able to survive impregnation by Szayel Aporro Granz, a process meant to bring him back to life while leaving his host as an empty husk. Mayuri can repair Nemu very quickly in these situations, allowing her to continue doing her father's bidding. Nemu is also immune to Mayuri's many poisons. Despite this, she carries around a variety of antidotes to be used as she sees fit. She also holds various poisons and potions derived from Mayuri's research in her own body, making her highly dangerous to those that attack her internally. Nemu does not normally carry a zanpakut�, but she is revealed to have one in an illustration in the artbook "All Colour but the Black." Her zanpakut� takes the form of what appears to be a thin katana.

Hayama Shirakumo (白雲�ヤマ, Shirakumo Hayama) is a j�nin of Konohagakure that protected its borders after the Invasion of Konoha. Hayama has long dull purple hair held in a ponytail. He also has a scar running down the right side of his mouth. He wears the standard Konoha shinobi outfit, albeit his uniform has short sleeves. He also wears a pair of fingerless gloves and carries a thin katana strapped horizontally to his back. Hayama is very adept at Kenjutsu. With his sword he can use the Vacuum Sword technique which was able to fend off many Iwagakure ninja as well as weapons. He is assigned to patrol the northern borders along with Tekuno, Naruto Uzumaki, and Kosuke Maruboshi after the Invasion of Konoha. Not long after they were ambushed by a battalion of ninja from Iwagakure. Hayama stayed behind to allow the other members of the squad time to escape and report to the village. He summoned a crossbow with explosive tags attached to the projectiles and along with Tekuno wiped out the majority of the ninja. Together the team was able to wipe out dozens of Iwa ninja. He is seen alongside his fellow village ninja aiding in the restoration of the village after Pain's invasion.

Gaav was the mazoku lord directly responsible for the Water Dragon God (or Aqualord in the japanese version) Ragradia's death during the Kouma War 1,000 years before the current story,but was sealed into his human form by Ragradia attempting to duplicate the seal placed on the Dark Lord by Flare Dragon Ceifeed,the long deceased God of the Slayers world. Gaav has sense lost interest in killing the remaining gods but is still as ruthless as he ever was.He started a war with the other mazoku lords after bargaining with the golden dragons to destroy all thier plans and took advantage of the God Sealing Barrier which required all the other lords to remain in one place and maintain each "corner",having made Lina Inverse a target for his minions to destroy upon learning the Hellmaster sent Xellos to accompany her. Even in such a weakened state even the most powerful magics of the slayers world cannot harm him,and as a mazoku he can retreat to either the astral or material planes at will. His true form is that of a crimson three headed dragon,and the spell Gaav Flare calls upon his power.
