In the first part, Benawi is the Samurai Leader of Kenashikourupe. When Hakuoro's rebellion overtakes Kenashikourupe, Benawi realizes defeat and kills the emperor, to spare him from possible torture and humiliation, then attempts suicide, but Hakuoro stops him, convincing to join him as his right-hand man. Benawi has a strong sense of responsibility to his country. He carries a calm and logical personality, but gets irritated when Hakuoro ignores the duties as a ruler. The main weapon of choice is a halberd, which he uses most effectively whilst riding. A man of convictions and morals, he believes that the people in a country should come first, and is not afraid to tell even an emperor when he believes they are making bad decisions. A cunning tactician, second only to Hakuro, Benawi is able to remain calm under pressure, and is able to adapt to unexpected changes during a battle. Of all the characters, Benawi seems the closest to normal human appearance, as his ears are never seen in the anime.
Kamyu is the second princess of Onkamiyamukai, a race of angel-like people who act as priests and peace-keepers for the land, and she is also the younger sister of Urtori. She befriends Aruruu, Yuzuha, and Mukkuru, and is often seen playing with them. Sometimes, during a full moon, another personality overtakes Kamyu. It is vampiric and has a strong sexual desire.
Dorii and Guraa are twin archers serving under Oboro. They are talented archers and often lead archer groups in Hakuoro's army. There are few ways to tell them apart. For one, Dorii has purple eyes while Guraa's are blue. Also, the bottom part of Dorii's clothes are blue while with Guraa they are red. You really can't make them separate characters since they're always side by side. They are somewhat androgynous, and as such their gender is difficult to ascertain, even by other characters. In the game, they reveal they are male, in the anime their gender isn't revealed.
Ditzy principal of the school. She is the one that allowed Takeru, Haruno, Inaho, and Himegami to all live under the same roof. She brandishes incredible power and control over element as she was able to break through amazingly powerful barriers, with her bare hands, thanks to nothing more than, in her own words, her "fighting spirit". She was in the maken-ki of the school before it became an all girl's school.
One of Ohno's American friends, Susanna (more frequently known as Susie or Sue), is a petite girl with an avid interest in yaoi. Susanna comes off as somewhat harsh and unsociable, and startles the other Genshiken members by using crude anime and manga quotes in Japanese (written in katakana to show her unfamiliarity with the language). As she makes gains in comprehension, her responding solely in quotes makes it unclear just how much Japanese she understands, much to the chagrin of Ogiue and others. Her extensive knowledge of anime and manga quotes suggests that Susanna is well-versed in both, having seen Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Fist of the North Star, Saint Seiya, Neko-Yasha, Mahoromatic, Azumanga Daioh, Doraemon and Lupin III, among others. She also seems to be obsessed with Japanese culture. As for her age, it is undetermined, and those who would know (i.e. Ohno) refuse to tell. Susanna wishes to study in Japan in the near future. In the relaunch of the manga, Sue has transferred to Shiiou University and is a first-year student and new club member of Genshiken. She is very close to Ogiue and still spouts various anime and manga quotes. She is employed by Ogiue to be one of her assistants for the official manga Ogiue is writing and drawing. Lantis is a powerful Kailu and the younger brother of High Priest Zagato. He makes his first appearance in episode 23 of the second season, his reasons for coming back to Cephiro after the distruction of the Pillar shrouded in mystery. In the beginning it is only revealed that Lantis is a traveler, having seen many worlds during his self-imposed exile from Cephiro, one of the most important, and last, being Autozam - one of the three invading countries. For this reason, he is regarded with suspicion by the people of Cephiro. Brief flashbacks during the show, reveal to us that Lantis was Princess Emeraude's Captain of the Guards before Lafarga. The time period is blurry, as Lantis himself tells Hikaru. With the added knowledge that in Cephiro those with strong hearts can live for extended periods of time, changing their appearances at leisure, his age can vary from several decades to several centuries. At the most 700 years, since Clef admits (at the beginning of the manga) that he himself is 745 years. Lantis is a quiet and private man but undeniably strong, in heart, body and mind. Such is clearly hinted at by both Master Mage Clef (who believes that Lantis has enough power to equal that of his older brother Zagato and perhaps even surpass it) and Debonair (who makes no secret of the fact that his heart is 'fearfully strong' and that she wants him for his power, going as far as to send Nova to get him for herself). Lantis is a powerful mage - having learned from Clef, his former master - and wields a sword skillfully enough to be considered a talented swordsman. This makes him the only Magic Swordsman in all of Cephiro. During the second season, he falls in love with Hikaru and she with him; together they face the possibility of imminent distruction of Cephiro - who still lacks a pillar and is slowly crumbling - and surpass the obstacles set out in front of them: Nova, Debonair and the three invading countries. He shares a deep friendship with Eagle of Autozam - leader of one of the major three invading forces - and doesn't wish to fight him for the sake of the pillar's crown. It is later revealed that Lantis's return to Cephiro was conditioned by his desire to stop the tragedy of Emeraude and Zagato from ever repeating again; his greatest wish is to destroy the Pillar system and he is willing to give his life to achieve his goal.
A dragon of heaven, Sorata is an upbeat, irreverent teenager possessing considerable occult abilities, raised by the Shingon Buddhist monks of K�yasan after being taken away from his mother at a young age. A gourmand, he was frequently in trouble at the shrine for stealing food between meals (insisting that he couldn't wait until dinner), and is also a competent cook. It was prophesied that he would protect Kamui with his life, but that he would die for a woman; the first time he meets Arashi, he decides she will be the one. An incessantly friendly young man, he wears down the resistance of both Kamui and Arashi and worms his way into their affections, despite their initial coldness and his own unrefined Kansai dialect. In addition to generating powerful electrical discharges, he is also capable of calling upon a goh�d�ji, a magical being similar to a shikigami manifesting as a massive, hideous ghostly creature. It is psychically linked to Sorata, allowing him to spy on others and act at a distance from himself, but he suffers any damage inflicted upon it. In Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle In the Republic of Hanshin, he's a cheerful history teacher married to Arashi and is host to Syaoran's group when they first arrive. In the apocalyptic world Tokyo, he's one of the seven fighters of the Tower faction.
