She was born in Tokyo, but is sent to live at her grandmother's inn, Kissuisou, when her mother elopes with her boyfriend to avoid debt. At her grandmother's request, she works at the inn as compensation for her residency. Before she leaves, her best friend, Kouichi Tanemura, confesses to her. However, he runs off before she can answer him. Ohana now feels awkward whenever she thinks about him. She has many ideals and a strong sense of justice which often clash with people working at the inn; including her grandmother. Her desire to help others usually backfires or goes unappreciated. As a result of her mother's poor parenting, she became independent at a young age and grew up with the mentality of relying on herself only. However, since working at Kissuisou, she has realized how tough it is to go through life alone and begins to rely on others. She goes to the same high school as Minko, Nako, and Yuina. Another one of Yukiteru's classmate, Ouji is in Yukki and Yuno's classroom during the previous semester and is one of the first people to betray him during the terrorist bombing incident. He writes down a list of all of his proudest accomplishments in a blog he dubs the "Kousaka King Diary", often using the phrase "I'm Shining!" after each sentence. Due to having blogged many times on his cellphone, which is connected to the Eighth's diary, he becomes a "Diary Holder Apprentice". His diary helps him save his friends, but it only reveals his successes, not his failures, which makes Yuno able to shoot him with a crossbow. Iori is Erika's older brother, and is the student council president. Just like his sister, he too is a vampire. He gives off the air of a male model, and has had many girls in his school want to go out with him. He is generally popular with everyone in his school. Later in manga he reveals that it was his plan to make Erika and Kohei fall in love with each other. He tells that when he saw the reaction made by Erika when she meets and tries to shake hands with Kohei, he understood clearly that Erika is attracted to Kohei's blood for the reason that Kohei's blood is different or special than other humans. He made Kohei forcefully join the student council so he could make him get closer to Erika. His plan was to make Erika to make Kohei her servant as she is attracted to only his blood. She comes from a very wealthy family, like Iori, and is in fact half European, most likely German. Because of the way Takane was raised in a rich family, she has a strong and stuck-up personality, though she talks very politely to others, even towards her rivals and enemies. Even though very hard-headed sometimes, she hates being alone and in fact when alone she begins to cry while staring at the moon. Takane is also a very smart girl, almost comparable to Ritsuko, and though she does nothing against it, she is well aware that President Kuroi is telling her ridiculous lies. Takane's family consists of herself and father, her mother having passed away when she was little. In fact, she stated that she never even met her mother. She is raised by her strict butler due to her father frequently being away for business trips.
