Anita is an old friend of Harlock who lives on the Steel Planet. Harlock visits her seeking help when an act of sabotage by a cyborg infiltrator causes the Arcadia to lose its supply of water. Despite its having been transformed into an Illumidas-occupied fort, Anita refuses to leave her home, wishing that someday it could be made green again after the Illumidas defeat. Her son Zack, on the other hand, can't wait to leave, and insists that he be taken aboard the Arcadia, to which Anita sadly consents. Murasame is the living sword spirit, rumored to have sway over anything regardless of shape or form. It is said that whoever possess Murasame will meet a tragic end. The spirit can transform into a crow and can communicate human language. Murasame sometimes sits on Shino's arm and likes to pick and eat food droppings, which Shino has scolded Murasame for.
A wildly popular idol with the gimmick of being a "fallen angel", with goth makeup and a bad boy attitude. He is a crow tengu who wished to become the land god instead of Nanami by eating her heart. After being thwarted by Tomoe, he becomes friendly with Nanami and even allows her to stay at his apartment when she temporarily loses her godhood. He has a lingering dislike for Tomoe. Anita is Romeo's childhood friend who had a deep crush on him. She lives in Sonogno Village. Anita wanted to marry Romeo in the future. When she learned that Romeo could possibly die while working as a chimney sweep in Milan, she tried to convince him not to leave Sonogno. Unfortunately, Romeo had already decided that he would go to Milan for the sake of his father, Roberto. Because of this, Anita became angry and very sad.
