After being accidentally transported to the Magic World, she is forced to become an indentured servant along with Akira and Natsumi to pay for medication she received. After Negi, disguised as "Nagi" using "Age Deceiving Candy", helps her overcome her scar somewhat, she develops a crush on him, believing him to be Negi's cousin. She eventually finds out that Nagi is actually Negi (who did not understand the real implications of the deception), which leaves her heartbroken, until she confesses her love for the nonexistent Nagi, asking him to fight Rakan for her sake. She eventually makes a pactio with Negi, just before the trip to Old Ostia. The story behind the scar on her back or her phobia of blood is never revealed.

She has an identical twin sister, Fumika, who is also in her class. The two often get confused by teachers and peers. Fuka is an energetic girl, being in the walking club. She is willing to try almost anything. In one episode, she and her twin drag Negi all around the campus and beyond when he only needs to visit a simple shrine. She is a very peppy and hyperactive teenager, and as nearly every other girl in her class, likes Negi at least a little bit. Note: In some pictures her eye color matches that of her sister, Fumika, but in others (including ones found on the official Negima website) Fumika's eye color is more of a blue color.

She is also a mercenary, and mostly takes on contracts that pertain to hunting/destroying/exorcising demons and ghosts but will take on any job as long as she is paid well. She is not particularly sociable, keeping to herself most of the time and not engaging in conversation. She is a skinflint, and does not readily spend money unless she has to, or if there is a way to get a discount. 1st grade in high school in Minarai Series. She fell in love with Konoha, the 3rd grade senpai, the first sight immediately entering the high school. She joined Literature Club because of him, the club president. Even though she found out that Konoha loves Touko, she stole a kiss from him and said she will never give up on him. Her goal is to become the one Konoha likes, so she is learning to be Bungaku Shoujo. Thus she is Bungaku Shoujo Minarai (An Apprentice to Literature Girl, the title of the series). Only thing she didn't know about being a Bungaku Shoujo until book 2 (Shoushin) was that Touko ate books. She tried eating the book and made her stomach hurt. Later, Konoha told her even though she will never become Touko, she has a talent to be Bungaku Shoujo. At the end of the series, Konoha told her after graduation that he likes her as a kouhai and even gave her a magazine that has a short story about her (she's the one to read it first) called "Houkago, Na no Hana to" (After School, with Flower of "Na")! Bungaku Shoujo Minarai takes place from her point of view. She appears a bit in one of short stories volumes "Koisuru Episode 4". She also appeared at the end of Hanjuku Sakka to "Bungaku Shoujo" na Muse as Kaito's first crush (She eventually became Kaito's Bungaku Shoujo).

Junko is Madoka's mother. She's a successful business woman. She often goes out drinking with friends and co-workers, and comes home from a long day of work drunk. She's also friends with Madoka's homeroom teacher. She and Madoka are close, and she cares for her daughter very much, but ultimately lets her go when she tells her there's something she has to do on Walpurgis Nacht.
