Kiriko is Kenji's older sister and Kanna's mother. For the vast majority of the manga, Kiriko is only seen in flashbacks, where she is shown to have a strong sense of justice and an interest in biology. She was also an important mother figure for Kenji during his youth, often taking him places or getting him presents and helping him out (like when he was hospitalized due to a motorcycle accident or when she got him an electric guitar). Fukubei researched Kiriko's romance with Moroboshi and after he had him killed, began courting Kiriko in the same way as Moroboshi (i.e. using his words). His goal appeared to be to encourage her to fulfill her dream of studying microbiology and use her expertise to create the deadly virus. When Kiriko realized that Fukubei was creating a cult around himself, she gave the police everything she knew about him and left her child, Kanna with Kenji and their mother. Unfortunately, the detective she gave it to was Yama and he had already defected to friend at the time, so her evidence was destroyed. Kiriko then went to see Yamane and convinced him about Fukubei's true intentions. Upon realizing how deadly the new virus that Yamane made was, she decided to spend all her time and effort making a vaccine. Kiriko feels extremely guilty over her involvement in the creation of the virus, as such she has spend most of her time trying to out-maneuver Friend and create a vaccine that would be distributed to everyone. As a last gamble in Friend year 3, Kiriko exposes herself to the next generation of the virus to test out her own vaccine. Fortunately the vaccine works and Kiriko survives. In 21st Century Boys, Kiriko seems to be working in some African country as a volunteer doctor. Kanna and Chouno come to see her, and daughter and mother finally reunite. (Source: soaring_wings)

In the Manga Leon is a young boy with a great distrust of adults and society, as he is a survivor of a war where all adults were killed, including his parents, and only children surived. He travels on a snowboard, and has the power to control air, managing to suffocate people, control air currents, among many things. Leon's Tao Power is called "Wind". In the Anime He is part of a group of orphans that includes Tim Vertical. Constantly being ignored or abused by the "adults" of society, Leon sought more power so that he could better protect his friends. Ironically, after he did gain this power, he had to leave his friends behind so that he could help the Apostles remake the world. Near the final part of the story, Leon's the one who volunteers to get the fireworks for Eve to hear to trigger a reaction that would stop her from uniting with Eden. Kenta has the appearance of a stuffed bear. He is brusque, frequently rude, and sometimes picks up odd obsessions. He has a love-hate dynamic with Iyo, with whom he is always arguing or fighting but he still appears to be close to her. His attempts to assert his species identity frequently end in disaster. He is always seen wearing a red muffler, and it is usually a sign that something is very wrong if he is without it. He also often gives the punchline in jokes where all three of the trio are involved. His date of birth is the 6th of May.

Chris is a powerful entity, who appears in the body of a young boy, crippled by expending his energy to revive Juna. He speaks only telepathically, and is able to leave his body at will, and often does so to help others. He is unerringly kind and patient to everyone, including Juna, despite her misunderstanding his words.
