Urashima Tarou comes back and makes the group choose a stick out of a bowl; the ones who have a cross will die, while the ones who have a circle will live. Maaya is a third year and is the head of the Drama Club in Sora's high school. She is thought to be weird as she suddenly quotes dramatic lines and often exaggerates her gestures, but nonetheless is extremely optimistic and looks out for others. She is the 10th student in Negi's class to form a Pactio with him. Her artifact is an extending pole, much like Son Goku's pole from "Journey to the West," and can also alter it's size and the speed of its extension.
