However, she is put through many hardships, particularly due to Eva's belief that her son George should have been the next head; their relationship even worsens even though Eva gets a genuine desire to raise Ange as if she were her own daughter, due to Bernkastel manipulating a young Ange into rejecting Eva as a surrogate mother. Before her death in 1998, Eva passes down the gold and the title of the Ushiromiya family head down to Ange. Ange decides to try her luck and see if she is really supposed to be alive even after her entire family is dead by jumping off a skyscraper, knowing that there is a construction going on several floors down and that she might land on a safety net. She survives and decides to figure out the truth of Rokkenjima in the year 1986. At the end of Alliance of the Golden Witch, the witch version of Ange is violently torn apart when she reveals her true identity to Battler; however, her human self survives and continues to investigate the true circumstances involving Rokkenjima.
The Chiesters are bunny-girl servants summoned by Eva Beatrice. It is said that there is no escape from the Chiesters attacks, and they can even locate and bring back a corpse. They have red eyes, bunny ears, and elaborate military-styled outfits. It is hinted that they are connected to Maria's three (originally four) rabbit toys. She is named after the .410 Winchester shotgun. Chiester 410 wears a blue uniform and has short teal hair. Unlike Chiester 45, 410 has a childish, silly smile on her face most of the time. Her duty is the main sniper using the information from Chiester 45.
The 33rd highest ranking earl of hell named after the demon of the same name. She is a curly-haired woman wears a red dress and a hat with a pink bow. Quite flamboyant, Gaap loves to tease people and gives people random nicknames by shortening their names ("Riiche" for Beatrice, "Lia" for Virgilia, etc.). She is one of Beatrice's friends, though she is greatly disliked by Virgilia. She draws power from the Abyss to summon holes that can lead anywhere, although there are limits. In battle, particularly against George in Alliance of the Golden Witch, she uses a combination of these portals and various kicks that stab with her sharp heels, overwhelming her opponent and keeping them from moving as they emerge from the portal in mid-air.

Her "Magic of Certainty" allows her to kill anyone without fail as an absolute result, which bends the basic rule of Umineko magic requiring a risk. Like Bernkastel, she is a Voyager. She wishes for Battler and Beatrice to fight against each other for eternity as a part of a larger plot to have Bernkastel lose against her. She has lived for a thousand years. As a witch, she embodies the concept that 'hard-workers are rewarded', and is very respected even by human beings. She doesn't flee from the human concept of witch. Hence, the power of hers, who is a being respected by human beings, is immeasurable. However, she is whimsical about whose efforts she will reward and, in many situations, the person who can please her more will be able to receive her smile. Her tremendous and swiftly fierce power makes any kind of witch surrender in a moment. However, she seems to be reckless and it was thoroughly read by Bernkastel. Her name and appearance hint at her being connected to Miyo Takano from Higurashi leading to the possibility that the "game" she played with Bernkastel was the world of Higurashi with the battle between Rika and Takano being the purpose of the game. "Lambdadelta" (λδ) represents thirty-four when using Greek numerals and "Miyo" (三四) can be translated as "three, four" in Japanese, strengthening their connection.
