Hermes is a Brough Superior motorrad (a two-wheeled vehicle that cannot fly but moves in the direction it's pointed—in other words, a motorcycle) who travels around with Kino. Hermes provides the speed that allows them to go anywhere they wish. Aside from his speed and capacity for toting about large amounts of luggage (Kino never seems to travel light), Hermes doesn't really have many other qualities except for constantly mixing up quotes and complaining. He is also rather gullible, trusting Kino absolutely even when Kino is teasing him, which leads him to grumble and complain some more. Perhaps his most famous line is "I'm bored." The motorrad is in many ways naive and innocent, and acts very child-like, which tends to be a sharp contrast to Kino's more mature and worldly bearing. Still, Hermes is quite reliable and makes a good companion for long trips. In the Gakuen Kino off-shot series, he takes the form of a cell phone strap instead. (Source: kino.ming-ling.net)
Another sleeper on Second Earth who is paired with Tony. She is very young and often naive. She immediately gravitates towards Yuji, seeing Marlene as an obstacle to a relationship with him.
Me-Mania is one of Mima's biggest fans, to the point where he is totally obsessed with her. When Mima starts to do things that go against his expectations of her, he becomes a stalker believing himself to be led by a "true" Mima.
Rei is a singer in the pop music group CHAM! After Mima left, Rei and Yukiko become more popular, which results of them getting into the best singing group charts. She does seem to care about Mima, even when she changed careers. In one scene in the film, Rei and Yukiko are on their radio talk show and when they bid goodbye to the audience, Mima's apparition appears. He was supposed to be the final victim of Me-mania, however he failed and both Tadokoro and Me-mania were killed by the real culprit.
Jiro is the owner of the shadow Minotaur, who uses white magic in the game. In the anime, Minotaur is always chiding Jiro for overusing his energy in battle but generally takes a calm approach to opponents. from wikipedia
Bouquet's shadow is Hippopotamus. Hippopotamus may be weak and somewhat cowardly, but he has the ability to shapeshift, sometimes using that ability by wrapping around Bouquet to provide her with a disguise. Hippopotamus later gains the ability to copy the attacks that he is hit by. In the second series, he and Bouquet have been given the ability to merge with Blue Dragon or Saber Tiger to provide armor and make them appear in near-full form.
