He witnessed Iris and Excadrill in battle while visiting the Dragon Village and congratulated her on her victory. Iris then quickly challenged Drayden to a battle which he graciously accepted. However, the Dragon master proved to be too powerful for the young Trainer and Iris and Excadrill lost. He appears to be acquainted with the village's elder.

Langley is a Dragon Buster and one of Iris' rivals. She wants to defeat Dragon-type Pokemon and their trainers, especially ones from the Village of Dragons. Her known Pokemon are Beartic and Pawniard.

A classmate of Yumi's brother Yuuki at Hanadera Academy, "Alice" (as she is nicknamed throughout the series by her friends due to her feminine manners) is a good-natured and lively young trans girl whose only issue is that her inner, feminine identity is at odds with her male biological body and her typically virile given first name, Kintarou. She is a great fan of Sachiko's (going as far as saying that she had rather been born as a girl and gone to Lilian to be Sachiko's petite sœur). She seems to be good friends with Yuuki, and as a member of the Hanadera Student Council, gets to interact with the Yamayurikai for their respective school festivals. Sachiko's decision to switch the player's genders in the schoolplay at the Lilian Culture Festival overjoys her, as it gives her the opportunity to act a female part.

Rei, Yoshino's grande soeur, appears very tomboyish and "bishounen" on the outside but is in fact quite gentle despite her appearances. Her favourite books are shoujo, her favourite word is "sincerity" and her hobby is sightseeing. She is involved in kendo, but obsessively cares about Yoshino and prefers the domestic arts, like cooking. In the first season, Rei is Rosa Foetida en bouton, and her grande soeur was Torii Eriko. Ash spoke to Cabernet in private about how compatible he was with his Pokémon. She was not at all impressed by any of them and shooed them away in disgust. Suddenly, Cilan and Iris interrupt the session to see what Ash is doing. Cabernet screams and points at Cilan as she recognizes him as a fellow Sommelier. She challenges Cilan to a Pokémon battle and uses her Futachimaru and Sawsbuck while he uses Ishizumai and Pansage.
