While visually quite similar to his character in the pervious series, this Yuji is changed quite a bit in terms of plot. While the previous Yuji was a low-level perverted policemen, this Yuji holds the rank of Head Chief, and is portrayed as a smart, well educated officer from a wealthy family. Also, rather than just a perverted camera otaku, Yuji in Scramble is shown as a fairly successful lady's man. He still does serve as comic relief, since Rio still rejects his advances, causing him to be beat up by her a lot. But no matter how much Rio rejects him, he is still actively pursuing her. Mayumi Osaka was the name given to Naru's mother in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon; in the other series she was never given a name. In all versions of Sailor Moon, she owned a jewelry shop, and was either replaced or possessed by a Youma who became Sailor Moon's first opponent. In the manga and live-action series, she never appeared outside of the first Act, but in the anime, she appeared again a couple of times. In episode 23 she showed Naru a rare crystal that had a silvery shine, which Naru mistook for the Silver Crystal and later stole in order to give to Nephrite in his guise as Masato Sanjouin. She also appeared in episode 47 when Naru was attacked by the Cardian Vampire. In the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story, she and Naru were attacked at the beginning of the game by Cenicienta, but were saved by Sailor Moon. The protagonist, Narumi Takayuki met Haruka by Mitsuki setting them up with a date during High School. Later, after Haruka gets in the accident, he felt responsible for it and falls into a deep depression. Later in the story, he works at a family restaurant after having regressed in his studies due to the accident. In Haruka's absence, he gradually begins to develop a relationship with Mitsuki.
