He generally lacks the motivation and commitment to create a full-fledged d�jinshi. In volume 5, Sasahara asks Kugayama to draw a d�jinshi for Comic-Fest, which he fails to do until Saki forces him, Ogiue, and Sasahara to make one under a very tight schedule. He is given the nickname 'Kugapii' by Saki. In volume 6, he graduates and begins work at a medical device manufacturing company in Iidabashi. Kugayama, though at first a seemingly mediocre artist, is actually quite talented. Introduced in volume two of the manga, Kuchiki becomes a full-member of Genshiken together with Ogiue in volume four apparently after being kicked out of the Anime Club. Kuchiki is a very abrasive individual, with a loud and obnoxious style of speech and no qualms about doing indecent or improper things (such as spying on girls). He was a part of the Anime Society before he joined Genshiken. He wants to be nicknamed Kuchi (クッ�ー Kucchī?) and enjoys it when people use this nickname. He is also not ashamed to cosplay. Kuchiki is actually the second-best fighting game player in Genshiken, next to Kousaka. He twice expects himself to be named the next Genshiken president, only to be passed over by Ohno and then Ogiue. Mostly a background comedic character, Kuchiki is used as a goad for a good many of Genshiken's slapstick and off-color jokes. One might even consider him a boke to the rest of the Genshiken's tsukkomi. In the relaunch of the manga, it is revealed that Kuchiki doesn't need to look for a job since he's pretty much guaranteed to have a job at a local bank thanks to family connections. Casino King is the name that the Gambling King gives to any area where he can set up his rigged gambling games, which include dice games, card games against the King himself, and pachinko machines. It is typically little more than a small stall at a fair or festival, or some relatively sheltered spot in an out of the way position on the street, but when the King successfully "wins" the Tendo Dojo from Ranma in a rigged game, he converts it into a much larger version, taking advantage of its wide space and sturdy roof.
Nodoka is Ranma's loving mother. She hasn't seen him and Genma in over a decade though, when they left on their training trip. Stating that a doting mother would hinder Ranma's training, Genma made a contract with her to raise Ranma as "man amongst men", and if he failed, he and Ranma were to commit seppuku. However, because Ranma's curse makes him a woman half the time, they spent most of Nodoka's appearances hiding from her as Ranko Tendo and her pet, Mr. Panda. Nodoka's heart was constantly broken by knowing that she wanted nothing more than to see her son again. Eventually in the manga, she did meet Ranma and Genma and discovers their curses. Mrs. Tendo is the mother of Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane, and the wife of Soun. She passed away many years ago leaving Soun to raise the children. It is never said how she died, but the family still thinks of her lovingly. After Mrs. Tendo's death Kasumi assumed a more motherly role and helped with household duties. (Source: Rumic World)
