You see her brother Oboro visiting her grave and bringing the bell she likes. In the game, she's able to bear a healthy child by virtue of Hakuowlo's divine blood which can control her illness for some time. Oboro cares for the child in place of his late sister and leaves on a journey to show it the world.

After Mutikapa, the tiger goddess who lived in the forest surrounding the village is killed, Aruruu finds her cub and raises it as her own, naming it Mukkuru. He becomes Aruruu's best friend and never leaves her side, even being her riding mount in battle. After Aruruu begins raising Mukuru, he begins growing very fast, reaching adult size in only a few weeks. Mukuru is always hungry and eats a lot, though Aruruu's motherly guidance keeps him from over-eating. Even after growing up, Mukuru always maintains the mentality of a cub, acting like a oversized kitten than a ferocious tiger unless in battle. Lucy is an alien girl who doesn't have much expression and doesn't have any friends. In the anime, she introduces herself to Takaki's class as 'Ruuko Kirei na Sora', which means 'beautiful sky.' She meets Takaki in the sixth episode of the anime, but we see her in an earlier episode without any dialog. She refers to herself as 'Ru', the name of her home planet and the beings on it, and to earth and earthlings as 'Uu'. She greets people by reaching for the sky and saying, 'Ru!' Himeyuri Sango in particular enjoys mimicking Lucy's greeting. Lucy has a cat that almost drowns in the sixth episode but it is saved with the help of Takaaki; Lucy summons a thunderbolt which splits a tree, forming a bridge which Takaaki crosses to lift the cat out of a raging river. Lucy terms this stray cat 'the Nya', saying that it is a special species that can enjoy the true taste of food, and like Ru, Nya is alone on Uu. Lucy likes to cook the Nya fish broiled over a charcoal clay pot, which according to her is the best cooking device available on Uu. Apparently a currency of Ru is matchsticks, one of which is enough to buy a whole rocket engine. Lucy irritates the cafeteria cook of Takaaki's school by attempting to treat Takaaki to the best meal the cook can prepare by paying the cook first one, then two matchsticks, however Lucy is somehow able to successfully purchase her charcoal clay pot and fish to br with matchsticks. Lucy says that on Ru, it is said that the only good Uu is a dead Uu, but Takaaki is a special Uu.

Nuriko first appears disguised as "Kourin" in Emperor Hotohori's harem, which Hotohori never visits except to welcome new maidens. "Kourin" was in fact Nuriko's younger sister, who died at a young age; he began behaving and dressing like her to keep her memory alive. Born in Eiyou, the capital of Konan, Nuriko possesses superhuman strength and is later granted a pair of bracelets that transform into strength-increasing armbands by Taiitsukun. He is 18 years old. His true name is Ryuuen Chou, based on the star Willow. While prone to jealousy, quick to anger, and possessing a calculating tendency, Nuriko is very level-headed and compassionate and shows the most concern regarding Miaka and Tamahome's relationship. As a "woman," Nuriko is infatuated with his fellow warrior, Hotohori, but as a man, he also loves Miaka Yuuki. While initially jealous of Hotohori's love for Miaka, Nuriko and Miaka become close friends. After Nuriko comes to terms with the fact that his cross-dressing resulted from the unyielding pain of losing his sister Kourin, he concludes that he had been trying to live his life as Kourin would have, not as he would have. This revelation allows him to finally allow himself to experience life as a man. He cuts his hair, which once hung down to his waist in a braid, and admits to Tamahome that he loves Miaka as more than a friend. While he maintains his feelings for Hotohori, Nuriko eventually chooses to stop dressing as a woman in order to better protect Miaka. Throughout the rest of the series, even after his death from Ashitare, one of the Seiryuu-seishi, the friendship between Nuriko and Miaka remains strong. Nuriko is the first of the seven Suzaku warriors to die. In Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden, Nuriko was "reborn" at a local marketplace as a young girl named Ko Keishun. She also steals the magic ball Tasuki has, and breaks it. Despite the young girl's size, she is able to lift a heavy rock much like Nuriko, revealing that she is indeed Nuriko's reincarnation.
