Lucy is also very confident in her appearance and sexiness, exuding a certain amount of vanity. Despite this superficial attitude, Lucy is passionate for literature and is in the process of writing her own novel about her adventures with Fairy Tail. She is a member of the Heartfilia family, one of the richest and most influential conglomerate families in the country of Fiore. However, due to her estranged relationship with her father and the death of her mother, she left home to follow her own path. It should also be noted that she was the only other person who had ever shut Gray and Natsu up without beating them up first. Natsu and Gray seem a little scared of her when she's under the weather, even if Lucy's magic is not as strong as theirs and can't force them into submission like Erza. Lucy practices Stellar Spirit magic, a skill which allows her to summon spirits from another world using Keys of the Gates. Her Stellar Spirits have varying levels of power, with different ones suited for different tasks. For example, Aquarius can control water, while Taurus has enormous strength. Along with her keys, she also carries a whip, which she is proficient with. Lucy explains to Natsu that Stellar Spirit mages have the potential to obtain extremely rare Gold Keys, which open the gates of the "Ecliptic Zodiac", and common, store-bought Silver keys. Each gold key has the Zodiac symbol of the one it is used to summon on it. According to Lucy, while there is a large number of silver keys, there are only 12 gold keys. Thus far in the series, Lucy has obtained 10 Gold Keys and 4 Silver Keys. She also summoned all of her Gold keys (5 of them at the time) and Plue at once, although it only lasted a few seconds, it showed her to be very powerful. Loki's previous owner was a very powerful mage, yet she could not summon more than one at a time. She is the daughter of "Heartfillia Konzern", one of the wealthiest families in her country. Her father went bankrupt due to some reason and went to work in a guild. Her father and mother met in the merchant guild Lucky, and he worked up his fortune from then on. After her arrival from spending 7 years stranded in Tenroujima with the help of Mavis, she found out her father had died several months before she arrived.

Aries is a timid female, very softspoken and shy. In the past, Karen the Celestial Spirit mage forced her to do many horrible things and generally abused her, such as using her as a shield (Because, apparently, she has no fighting abilities) and using her to lead away all of her boyfriends instead of simply refusing them. Loke arc Three years prior to the story, Aries was owned by Karen Lilica. In Loke's flashback, Aries was treated horribly by Karen. She used her to keep her "boyfriends" away from her. She tries to protest but she is too intimidated by Karen. Blue Pegasus Guildmaster Bob sees this and warns Karen to take care of her spirits. In a rage, she accuses Aries of ratting her out and apparently physically assaults her, although all that is seen is Aries getting shoved to the floor. Karen threatens to keep Aries in the human world for a week, but before Karen can act on this threat, Loke steps in by summoning himself to take Aries' place (Since Karen could only maintain one spirit at a time) and tells the Celestial Spirit Mage to break her contracts with Aries and himself. When she refuses, Leo threatens to remain in the human world until she agrees, rendering Karen unable to summon any other Celestial Spirits. Karen continues to refuse, since she believes that he cannot remain in the human world for a long time; however, Leo leaves her with the ultimatum and goes to a deserted chapel where he stays for three months, attempting to get Karen to break the contracts. When Leo returns, he learns that Karen was killed on a mission and that Aries' key was taken. Oracion Seis arc After an exchange in the Spirit World, Aries is summoned to battle with Loke and Lucy Heartfilia. Despite the two not wanting to fight one other, they choose to fight for the sake of their pride, and the battle begins. However, due to Aries' non-combative nature, she fights a losing battle to Loke. As the battle progresses, Angel summons Caelum and uses it to blast through Aries and hit Loke, causing them both to return to the Celestial World for healing. After her defeat, Angel is arrested and her contracts with her spirits are broken. Aries, along with Scorpio and Gemini, seek out Lucy and form contracts with her instead. Edoras arc Lucy summons Aries to prevent the Edoras soldiers from capturing her and her friends. Aries then proceeds to attack the soldiers with a technique called "Wool Bomb", which allows Lucy and company to escape.

The day after his birthday, Nawaki died in battle. His body was so heavily mutilated that it was beyond recognition. Orochimaru would later offer Tsunade to bring Nawaki back to life, together with Tsunade's lover Dan, in exchange for healing his arms. The resurrection would require a human sacrifice, though. When he saved Inari from drowning, he took up the young boy to teach him about life and protect the things that were precious to him. He married Tsunami (Inari's mother) and acted as the role model for Inari. When Gat� tried to take over the Land of Waves, Kaiza tried to stop his business.
