Kaoru's friend.

Birthday: December 25 Age: 8 (Beginning) 16 (Current) Ren is a hardworking, honest, straightforward and trustworthy child. He has an affinity for dogs and a strange obsession with rice. He is currently living with Haru and his brothers, twins Aki and Shima. Although he is in their care, Ren is very mature for his age and hates being treated like a child, especially by Haru. He loves Haru but would rather put that man's wishes above his own. With an intelligence and perception above average for his age, he prefers to keep to himself and doesn't like to burden others with his insecurities. Due to a complicated childhood and no memory of his biological parents, he is quite naive about the world but is gradually adapting to his new life in Japan.

Kaidou Shima is one of Haru's brothers, who is currently studying in college and working as a part-time tutor. He is composed and cool character. Also has a twin brother named Aki.

Having faced hardship since childhood, Tomo is sadistic and cruel. His mind is contorted and he is severe with others. It is said he was taken in by dancers when he was young, exposing him to the world of Chinese opera. This fact would explain why he wears a Chinese Opera costume. Tomo is one of Nakago's most trusted allies because he freely discusses his plans with him. (Source: Wikipedia)

The childlike goddesses serve Taiitsukun and reside at Mount Taikyoku with her. They are also known as Lai Lai. They can take the appearance of floating orbs and can appear when commanded. They have healed Miaka and her warriors when it was necessary, also offering to fix Nuriko's perversion (much to his dismay) and Taiitsukun's face (much to her annoyance). Their other function is to serve as vessels for the spirits of the dead Celestial Warriors, so that they can fight along side their priestess, in which case they take on the appearance of whomever they are inhabited by, and have all of their powers.
