His son Tanishi at first, detested him, but when he saw the meaning of his death, began to love him. He was buried in the village's graveyard. Jiraiya mentions that Sukune and his family were very kind to him when he visited the Genjutsu Tree Village the first time, and is sad to hear of his death when he returns with Naruto later. Hanare is a kunoichi from the Jmae Village. She was an orphan who longed to see her parents and find a home she could call her own. As a young child, Hanare was said to be very lonely since she never knew her family or seen her own village. She was trained from an early age in the art of espionage. One day, she was found crying in a place near her village by the young Kakashi, who spotted her and carried her on his back. He then explained to her that she can look up to the clouds above and find her way. They both then were seen by a ninja from Hanare's village and Kakashi put her down on her feet, said goodbye and left. She was then excited that someone like Kakashi was able to help her in her life. Hanare's abilities allow her to read someone's mind by using her right eye to literally look into it. She is even able to use this ability on those who are looking at her thoughts. She can also erase all of her thoughts that she had gathered. To use this technique, she weaves signs by moving her eye in specific patterns. Hanare's special technique can help her in collecting and gathering information in various things. She has also been trained to have an immensely strong will, unyielding to seemingly any form of torture, even by the likes of Ibiki Morino, a master manipulator of the human psyche.
Ran (ラン, Ran) is a kunoichi of Kumogakure. She has a short crop of brown hair and blue eyes. She wore a midriff blouse and a skirt along with a customized midriff Kumogakure flak jacket. She also wore red wrist warmers, stockings and a pair of sandals with the forehead protector of the Allied Shinobi Forces. Not much is known of her abilities but she was presumably skilled in kenjutsu as she carried a tantou strapped to her shoulder. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Ran was assigned to the Third Division. She and her comrades were set upon by Jinpachi Munashi and Kushimaru Kuriarare and she was rendered unconscious by Jinpachi's explosion. She was saved by the arrival of Might Guy and Kakashi Hatake, the latter of whom told her to flee the battle scene. She, however, later returned to the members of the Third Division and the Sealing Team leading to Kushimaru and Jinpachi being successfully sealed away. Chouchou Akimichi is an Academy student and a member of Konohagakure's Akimichi Clan.
Height: 165 cm (5'5") Weight: 53 kg (116 lbs) Starsign: Capricorn (stated in the anime by Jinta, her birthday was not revealed though) Naruko is a childhood friend of Jinta and Menma. While she displays a cold attitude towards Jinta, she is secretly concerned for him. She is perhaps the closest to him at present and is enrolled the same school (although Jinta stopped attending school). Chiriko comments that Naruko has not changed over the years: she is still easily persuaded by everyone around her. Naruko seems to be popular in high school and gets along well with girls that Chiriko deems "sluts." While they have grown apart, Naruko seems to care deeply about her childhood friends. She works at a video game store and has a large collection of manga and video games herself. Because of this collection, she started reconnecting with Jinta and Poppo. Naruko admits that, when she was a child, she was jealous of Menma. Insecure of her glasses and curly hair, she desperately wanted to have flowing hair like Menma. Moreover, she was jealous of Jinta's affection towards Menma. Naruko secretly had a crush on Jinta, which is why she asked him whether he had feelings for Menma. She blames herself for Menma's death, because her question ultimately precipitated in Menma's death. Presently, it is shown that Naruko still has lingering feelings for Jinta. Naruko is involved in a scandal when an older boy, whom she was hanging out with, tries to force her into a love hotel. When she wouldn't agree to have sex with him, he attempts to force her into the hotel to rape her; however, Matsuyuki protects her. Despite this, the rumor that Naruko had sex with this man reaches her high school. Naruko has to face the judgments of her fellow students until she decides to stop going to school in favor of working full-time to get the money to build the rocket. She feels slighted when Jinta focuses on Menma and continues to ignore her, even after they reunited. Matsuyuki, who feels similarly since Menma is denying him, asks Naruko out. However she later tells Chiriko on the bridge that she loves only Jinta and that he is irreplaceable.
