The classmate of Akitoshi, who was later possessed by the Yuragi.

A strong family man, he loves his wife Matsu (and adopted nephew Keiji in Sengoku Basara 2) dearly but he doesn't have much for brains and seems to be perpetually famished, often asking Matsu for more food, even though he's had enough. Usually seen smiling, Maria is one of the central characters of the series. Two years ago during the events of 428: Fūsasareta Shibuya de, she was abducted by terrorists and was infected with the Ua virus, surviving the ordeal only thanks to the anti-virus her father developed. She befriended Canaan after being saved from hoodlums during a trip somewhere in the Middle East. As her dream is to become a photographer, she became the partner of Minoru Minorikawa before the pair's assignment in Shanghai and her subsequent reuniting with Canaan. Despite being aware of Canaan's dangerous life, Maria tries her best to stay close to her friend. Many characters have made fun of her ahoge hairstyle and her relatively small bust size.

Maeda Noboru, age sixteen, nicknamed Suppon (Turtle). He has been detained for theft, con, dine-and-ditch, and many other crimes which could not be fully investigated during his detention. Maeda is one of the seven protagonists in RAINBOW. He is the smallest guy in the group and the most cunning in the team. Other than An-chan, he seems to get along with Jou best, most probably because of them being same aged and both being orphans.

Hibiki's mother. She is a famous violinist and is currently overseas.
