Himeko is vice president of the Cultural Research Club. She excels in gathering information and analysis, possessing private data on each of the club members. She's calm and logical, but she's actually a bit clumsy, so her difficulty with roundabout phrasings causes her to surprise many of those around her with her blunt statements. It's revealed that she's actually a very sensitive girl, and scared of losing or hurting her friends. She starts dating Taichi in volume 4. Taichi describes their relationship as "platonic," and they mean to be soul mates. Himeko has even tried on rings with him while on a date.

Ryou actually has a crush on Tomoya. She finds out that her twin sister, Kyou, loves him too, but uses her sister's help despite that. Ryou gradually gets over her crush when she realizes that Tomoya's true love will always be Nagisa (and in the Another arc, it would be Tomoyo). In ~After Story~ Ryou becomes a nurse and is seen working toward the end of the series. In Another World: Kyou Chapter Knowing that Tomoya loves Kyou, Ryou gives up on Tomoya and tells Kyou to confess to him.
Sayaka is the second protagonist of Yaiba and Yaiba's unlikely love interest. She originally had not intended to join Yaiba's journey, and simply found herself tied to Kagetora with Yaiba going towards the Thunder God's sword when she woke up. The princess of Rakios of the northern part of Phantasmagoria. She assumes power later after her father, the king, dies during an assault. Lestiina (more commonly known as Lesteena) also has greatly different ideals than her father, though being just as ambitious; she feels no hatred and malice against spirits as most people do. While Kaori was under her watch, she regularly visited Kaori while she was locked in her room. Lesteena also hides herself as Lemuria at times to have fun.
