Renji Magatsu became a member of the Twelve Generals, and as the Martial Fist was set to assassinate the Magami Five, he naturally went against Yuuya Daigo, drawing his old friend back to the place they used to hang out. With Renji calling him a traitor, Yuuya couldn't fight him, instead running away. So Renji uses Komaki Sakurai to lure Yuuya to fight, showing that he has supernatural powers, too; Renji can turn anything and everything to stone. With Komaki threatened, Yuuya metamorphes into Byakko, the Deity awakening inside the Vessel, and Renji is transformed into a snake demon by the Dark Arts.

A young boy who Natsume saves when he was locked in a coffin. He has a lot of friends and is a cheerful young boy. He is actually a Youkai, a water god that lived in the mountains. Once he heard a voices from far away calling for help. He went to search for the source of that voices and ended up in Natsume's town. He met humans and found that interacting with them was fun and started to live as one.

Horigome is the classical literature teacher at Sakuragaoka High School, where he has taught for a long time. He was the supervisor of the school's light music club when the members were a band known as Death Devil. He considered the club too wild at the time, experiencing many problems and frequently scolding the members. He continues to teach, but is no longer the club advisor.
