Klaus is a protagonist who acts as a foil to Dorian, and, later, as his love interest. He is a West German intelligence agent serving in NATO. He is nicknamed "Iron Klaus" by enemy characters for his notoriously high number of successful missions. Klaus's missions involve averting international incidents and collecting intelligence, and are frequently disrupted by Dorian. Klaus reacts to Dorian's flirting and confessions of love with violence and pronounced homophobia. Despite this, he is occasionally cordial with Dorian when they have worked together on a mission successfully. Klaus's crew of 26 subordinates are each named after a letter of the alphabet: A, B, G, and Z appear in the series most frequently. A is in second command, B is generally portrayed as a bumbling clown, G enjoys cross-dressing, and Z, the youngest, is Klaus's favourite. All of Klaus's subordinates live in fear of his ire and his constant threats to reassign them to Alaska. (Source: Wikipedia)
Nation's name: Konungariket Sverige (Kingdom of Sweden) Capital: Stockholm Language: Swedish Birthday: June 6 National flower: Linnea Human name: Berwald Oxenstierna Height: 182 cm (6’0”) Age: 21 (appearance) A neutral country and ex-Viking that was once nicknamed “The Conqueror of the Baltic Sea” and “The Lion of Northern Europe.” In the first episode of the anime adaptation, he made a brief cameo appearance in which he was shown with light brown hair and dark brown eyes. When he made his official debut in Hetalia World Series, his hair was changed to being blonde and his eyes were changed to blue. Back when they were under the rule of Denmark, Sweden and Finland ran away and began living together. Finland was later overpowered by Russia and was under his control; he claimed to be “freer” when living in Russia’s house, but didn’t have as much fun as he did with Sweden. Sweden’s adopted son is Sealand, whom he bought from an online auction. He also has partial custody of Latvia and Estonia, which came to be after he and Finland ran away from Denmark. He doesn’t talk much and seems very mysterious and scary due to his intimidating appearance. It was said that he came to be that way because he was born in a cold place. However, he’s rather serious, honest, playful, and kind underneath all this. Surprisingly, his hobbies include debating, making furniture, art, glass crafts, making a huge amount of Surströmming (which was said to be able to be used as a lethal weapon), and putting most of his effort into the welfare of his citizens. It is also to note that he speaks in a Tohoku dialect. Finland calls him “Su-san” for short, and Iceland calls him “Svi.”
Nation's name: Kongeriget Danmark (Kingdom of Denmark) Capital: Copenhagen Language: Danish Birthday: June 5 National flower: Water Lily The self-proclaimed “King of Northern Europe” full of youthful vigor and humor. He thinks of himself as the “big brother” figure out of the Nordics, and is always sporting a goofy and cheerful grin no matter what the situation. At one point in history, he lived with and had control over Finland and Sweden, only to have them eventually rebel and leave due to his hard-to-get-along-with nature. They were said to be unable to tolerate his lifestyle and behavior, which was very different from their own. He considers Norway to be his best friend, even though Norway doesn’t think of them as being that close. They’ve known each other since childhood, and Denmark’s grown to feel strongly towards him. Usually, Norway can be found making fun of and bullying Denmark, but Denmark’s too dense to be able to realize this. His personality can be found as being somewhat obnoxious to others; he’s really stubborn and doesn’t listen to people very well. On top of that, he is demanding, bossy, and very controlling. Although it’s said that he’s hard to get along with, he’s actually pretty friendly and good-humored. He is also a hard worker despite it being said that he possesses a carefree attitude. He’s noted to speak in an Ibaraki dialect, and is a very heavy drinker. Although his official human name has not been decided, Hidekaz Himaruya revealed in a blog post that he has considered “Abel,” “Andersen,” “Arneson,” “Bertram,” “Christensen,” “Magnus,” “Mikkel,” and “Simon” as possible first names with the possible surname “Densen.”
Nation's name: Kongeriket Norge (Kingdom of Norway) Capital: Oslo Language: Norwegian Birthday: May 17 National flower: Heath One of the Nordic countries, and seemingly one of the most enigmatic characters in the series. His hair is pale blonde, and he possesses dull, soulless dark blue eyes (similar to Japan's) as well as a curly ahoge that floats independently beside his head (sometimes accompanied by a small dot). This was said by Hidekaz Himaruya to be because Norway is a "whimsical" type of character, thus the reason why the hair curl is floating and unattached to his head. He has a younger brother named Iceland whom he's quite close with. It was confirmed by a DNA test that the two are in fact blood brothers, but even so, Iceland refuses to call Norway "Onii-chan" (Big Brother). Norway's self-proclaimed best friend is Denmark, whom he has known since they were children. Denmark seems to be terribly dense, for he does not realize that Norway doesn't consider them to be close in the slightest. Often times, you can find Norway picking on Denmark, but he's too oblivious to notice. His personality is rather mysterious, and he doesn't talk much or show emotion. He's apparently very shy around strangers, and is somewhat of a recluse. According to Iceland's pet puffin, Mr. Puffin, he's surprisingly snarky. Like England, he is able to interact with and see supernatural creatures. It is because of this that you can sometimes see a little fairy or troll by his side. Also to note is that he speaks in a Tsugaru dialect, and is often seen sporting a barrette shaped like a Nordic Cross on the left side of his head. Although his official human name has not been decided, Hidekaz Himaruya revealed in a blog post that he has considered "Bjørn," "Børre," "Kjetil," "Knut," "Lukas," and "Sigurd" as possible first names with the possible surnames "Bondevik" and "Thomassen."
One of Kaido's three main pitchers, Akutsu specializes in knuckle ball pitches. His constant, wide grin resembles a Hannya mask.
