Ohana's mother, who works as a professional writer. Satsuki is seen on bad terms with her own mother, calling her "the mother I've always hated". Satsuki had rejected her mother's wishes for her to inherit the inn, leaving her mother and brother to run it as she left for her own life. Due to her boyfriend writing her name on his papers, the debt he falls into forces Satsuki to make a moonlight escape from her normal life. As a result, Ohana is sent to her grandmother's inn due to the not-so-motherly nature of Satsuki. She has a surprisingly infamous reputation at the Inn, being the first topic at hand when staff members talk to Ohana for the first time.
Age: 30 Takako is a business consultant adviser for Kissuiso. She attended the same university as Enishi. Trying to revitalize the inn, she works hard in order to have the staff have the correct manners. Because she only visits once a month, and thinks that the inn is staying old-fashioned, her changes to and plans for the inn are sometimes a bit radical. Because of Ohana's mother's running away, he was designated to be the next head of Kissuiso. He marries Takako. And eventually leaves Kissuiso, now put on close temporarily, to study more on how to run an inn.

She was born in Tokyo, but is sent to live at her grandmother's inn, Kissuisou, when her mother elopes with her boyfriend to avoid debt. At her grandmother's request, she works at the inn as compensation for her residency. Before she leaves, her best friend, Kouichi Tanemura, confesses to her. However, he runs off before she can answer him. Ohana now feels awkward whenever she thinks about him. She has many ideals and a strong sense of justice which often clash with people working at the inn; including her grandmother. Her desire to help others usually backfires or goes unappreciated. As a result of her mother's poor parenting, she became independent at a young age and grew up with the mentality of relying on herself only. However, since working at Kissuisou, she has realized how tough it is to go through life alone and begins to rely on others. She goes to the same high school as Minko, Nako, and Yuina. A 23-year-old junior chef working at Kissuis�, Tooru is harsh and hardworking in matters of work, spending his time learning with the main chef and at the same time, teaching Minko at the kitchen. He is very outspoken and has a tendency to scold Minko and tease Ohana.
Yuina is a 16-year-old teenager who is daughter of the Fukuya Inn owners that are rivals with KissuisÅ�. While a rivalry exists between Yuina's and Ohana's grandmothers, she remains friendly towards Ohana. Unlike Ohana, Yuina doesn't seem particularly interested in the affairs of the inn. She attends the same high school as Ohana, Minko and Nako. Yuina has a strange habit of observing and using foreign dialects, often switching which dialect she uses. While Yuina is the class heart throb (along with Minko), she turns down every love confession. It is revealed that Yuina has a fiancé, Yosuke, who is not only her childhood friend but also a manager at another hot spring inn. Yosuke wants Yuina to work alongside him at the inn, but she refuses, saying that she doesn't like working at an inn. Later she helps out, as Yosuke's inn is short on people. Yuina mentions that this is her first time doing actual work and that it wasn't so bad.
