Neene was hatched from a coccoon at the start of the story, and grows at a rapid rate, experiencing a growth spurt occurring each time she uses her powers in a Kanshu fight. Neene calls Riku "papa" and Rena "mama". As the series progresses, she demonstrates various powers, such as turning Riku into a Kanshu after he is wounded in a fight and creating a giant ball of light that disintegrates anything inside it. Tougo Kazama is a childhood friend of Riku's. He managed to recognize Riku as Suraga and while being hunted down by Takao, he awoke to a Jinki core. He later explains that two months earlier, during the NEFT building fire, a bright light (one of the Jinki cores from chapter 15 that Takao lost against Riku) came crashing towards him. The glowing scar he retained from the incident disappeared the next morning. Sawako Tokiji is the Chairwoman of F.L.A.G. and one of the heirs to the Tokiji Company. In the past, she was engaged to Karasawa Shiro, and it is heavily implied that she became pregnant with his child. When he was captured after turning into a Kanshu but could still control his mind, he talked her into releasing him by claiming he was in pain and then attacked her. The resulting injuries rendered her unable to bear children anymore, and she stated that the attack also killed the child she was pregnant with. Sawako had a twin sister, Sayako, who was killed on Hatsumi Island and turned into Ende. However, Sawako was unable to become a Lost Rebound and completely forgot about Sayako until seeing Ende on F.L.A.G.'s Longest Day. Upon seeing her, she finally remembered Sayako and ran outside the base, and Ende brought her to her so they could talk. He’s lived a life of hardship, and pretty much, it seems as though his life can’t get any worse than it already is. His older brother is Prussia, who lives with him in his house and is also his drinking buddy. Prussia affectionately calls him “West,” but due to his impulsive nature and his habit of buying “strange” things off the net, Germany is usually annoyed with him. However, underneath it all, they seem to have a healthy sibling relationship and care for each other. Often bailing him out, saving him, and anything else you want to throw in there, Germany, although usually bothered by him, considers Italy his best friend. They met during WWI, where Germany proceeded to take Italy captive. Once WWII broke out, Italy immediately became Germany’s ally, which Germany and the other German officers freaked out at when they heard the news. After years of spending time together, they’ve managed to maintain a close friendship and even though Germany seems to have the short end of the stick in their relationship, he takes good care of Italy, more or less like an older brother of some sorts. He has a rather serious, but pessimistic personality (both on and off the clock), and is a total neat-freak and rule-abiding perfectionist who does not tolerate mistakes. His hobbies include walking his three dogs (named “Blackie,” “Aster,” and “Berlitz,” who are just as manly as he is), cleaning, reading, recycling, saving money, and baking. It’s said that all of his pent-up stress is released once he has a beer. Surprisingly, he is completely illiterate when it comes to technology, and relies on schedules and manuals, making him very inflexible. Italy once commented that Germany’s a fan of hardcore BDSM, stating that “…some of the videos even had dogs in them!” Often times, he’s seen wearing a Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes (this was left out of the anime adaptation). It should also be noted that he has an underlying respect for Grandpa Rome, whom he idolizes, and although it doesn’t seem to be a hobby of his, he enjoys touring Italy. His human name was revealed to be "Ludwig," but without a given surname. Hidekaz Himaruya stated that "...the fans will find out eventually."

Hatchan (���ゃん, Hacchan, called "Hachi" (��) by most characters) is an octopus fish-man. Hatchan is not very bright but a skilled swordsman, using rokut�ryū ("six sword style"). He fights with Zoro during the Arlong arc. Despite Zoro suffering a fever and severe blood loss from his unhealed wounds (which he got eariler fighting Mihawk), Hatchan is still defeated by him. Outside of battle, he is extremely helpful and friendly (though it should be noted that he can be just as cruel to humans as the other crew members are), addressing Zoro politely when they first met, and giving him a ride of a bay on his back. Later in the manga (in a title page arc that was never animated), Hatchan goes on many adventures, meeting a mermaid, that ends with him opening a floating takoyaki restaurant. In Hatchan's Sea-Floor Stroll, it's revealed that Hatchan, along with Chu and Kuroobi, planned to open a takoyaki store when they were younger. His nickname Hachi could also mean eight in Japanese, a reference to him being an octopus fish-man. Hatchan's name is quite strange. In the Japanese language, chan is a diminutive suffix, added to the end of someone's name, giving it the meaning of "cute" or "little". However, Hatchan insists that his name is Hatchan and that Hachi is just a nickname. When questioned on this, Oda replied that the chan is the same as the last name of "Chan" common in Chinese, rather than the suffix -chan. (Source: Wikipedia)
