He has long pink hair, short in the back and has three braids on his fringe, and pink eyes. He also wears a blue hat with a design on it that has golden wings, two long red veils and a white chinese-like dress with a pair of shorts. He also wears two golden bracelets, each with a green jewel. His Metal Vessel is his sword. He appears to like hitting his attendants, particularly the females. He also has a twisted personality, in which he likes to butcher his enemies brutally and takes pleasure while doing it. He also loves the sight of blood and is well known in Kou Empire for having an eccentric personality. Kouha also has a nice and extremely caring side to him, especially to his attendants, JunJun, ReiRei and JinJin. Because of this, he might be considered a yangire. When they were thrown away and left to rot, Kouha came to them asking for magic users. He bandaged them, clothed them, smiled at them, and appointed them. Though they think they are ugly because they have to be bandaged up, Kouha tells them that they aren't ugly, that it is proof that they have seized their power and paved their way of life, and adds that its charming. This is why his servants love him so much now, and even ask to be hit by him. Kouha also has a strong bond with his army. He personally recruited all of them, who were the repudiated of the world. He encouraged them, and told them not to be ashamed of who they were. In return for that, his army loves and respects him greatly, and considers him their king. Kouha cares of them greatly, and it's been seen when Kouha protects his army from Mogamett's Black Djinn, and how he gets infuriated when some of them die. More proof is that he seems to know every one of them by their names. Kouha is loyal when it comes to his older brothers. He respects them and is willing to support them the best he can. However he's also kind hearted and always cheers people up. Jin is simple minded and has known Kurou very well ever since childhood. Jin's also a first year student at SM. Also, whenever he is provoked, or at sometimes lustful, his ears will appear.

A man who worked with Makihisa Tohno to attack the Nanaya clan. He fought Shiki's father Kiri Nanaya. Shiki's childhood memory caused his dream's manifestation of death to appear as Kouma. He is described as the perfect combination of human and demon blood, and possesses massive physical strength and speed, being able to crush trees with his bare hands. His nickname is Red Lion. Like Tohno Akiha is unique in the Tohno bloodline due to the ancient nature of the origins of her demonic powers, Kouma is unique for the degree of purity of the Oni Blood in him. As a result of this he was caged by his own family. Later his family was killed by another Half-Demon family & the head of that family kept him like a guard dog, but Kouma due to his inherent awareness of the dangerous ness of his impulse had suppressed it. When Nanaya Kiri assassinated the head of that family, he had burst Kouma's right eye in a momment of frenzy (It was the first time in his life that he experienced his "Inversion Impulse"). This soonmade Kouma loose control over his impulse & become the monster that he is now. On the night of the attack on Nanayas, while the rest of the attackers were killed by the traps or dispathced by Kiri, only Kouma was unscathed. It was he who kileed Kiri, though he recieved a fatal wound in the process & htus lost total control over his impulse & the massacred the rest of the clan, but failed to kill Shiki as his mother sheilded him while dying in the process. Whether or not Kouma died that night by succumbing to the injury or survived is unknown, but the incident resulted in him becoming Shiki's 2nd greatest fear, the first being Shiki's own "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception".
