Fearing for Ange's life, she tries but fails to save her when she took a bullet for her when one of the guards tries to shoot Ange. She eventually dies from the gun shot, and Ange was taken away to the island of Arzenal. Prior to the incident, she gave Ange her ring as a gift for her coming of age. The youngest daughter of the Misurugi royal family and Ange's younger sister. She is paraplegic who lost the use of her legs which was a result of the accident that she sustained when she fell off a horse while riding with Ange many years ago. Ange blames herself for it and promises that she will protect her, no matter what. She uses a mana-powered floating chair to move around. The shock of learning the truth about her sister causes her to faint. It is hinted that she was the one who assisted Momoka in locating Ange as she later tries to secretly contact her using her mana asking her whether or not she has found Ange yet, but was caught and taken away before Ange could speak to her. This is later revealed to be a trick to lure Ange back home so that Sylvia can exact revenge on her sister. She later discovers Riza's secret after being poisoned by her and is later captured by her where she was placed under her spell. In a twist of fate, Riza was found out and was tortured by Embryo, she still continues torture her as a payback for what she did. Near the end of the show and during their final meeting, Ange reveals to Sylvia that her legs' injury had actually healed years ago, and she only used her disability as a reason to act selfish and spoiled. After getting threatened by Ange, she runs away using her legs. After the end of the war, with her world deprived of the Light of Mana and torn apart by chaos and anarchy, she leads a squad of survivors along the ruins of Misurugi defending people from marauders. Natsuki's older sister. She happens to be a successful lingerie designer, it is suggested that she is one who trained Natsuki how to fight. However she's also the reason why Natsuki ran away from home because she is forcing her to be come one of her lingerie models as well as pimping her to be some rich old man's mistress.
Kaya (カヤ) is a rich girl who gets an inheritance after her parents died. Kaya becomes sickly, and her caretaker Klahadore often tends to her. (Klahadore was found three years earlier by her father, practically dead on their doorstep. Kaya's father took pity and offered the man a job.) Secretly, the town liar--Usopp--climbs a tree outside her window and tells her tall tales that make her laugh and feel better. However, Klahadore is very disapproving of this and eventually kicks Usopp out and makes Kaya believe that he is a bad influence. One day, Usopp listens in on a conversation between Klahadore and Jango, a hypnotist. Klahadore is really Captain Kuro and reveals that he plans to kill Kaya for her money--the last three years he has been gaining the trust of Kaya and the Village. Usopp tries to warn Kaya about the plot, but Kaya believes that he is lying; she rebukes him when he insists that he is telling the truth. She eventually learns the truth, and after Kuro is defeated, she gives the Straw Hats the Going Merry. She was recently seen in manga chapter 440, discovering Usopp's Sogeking bounty poster. She and the former Usopp Pirates knew it was Usopp, just by looking at his nose. Kaya comments that she needs to continue to learn more about medicine as she says that when the day comes that Usopp returns he will probably be hurt from all his adventures and she wants to help him. He was the emperor of the Misurugi empire, he is the father of Julio, Ange and Sylvia. He used to rule the kingdom until the Julio, his eldest son, exposed Ange as a "Norma" during her baptismal rite where he immediately he suffered a heart attack and has also become grief stricken when he learns about his wife's death while protecting Ange . It wasn't clear if he knew about Ange being a "Norma" but despite of it, Julio had him restrained and was later on executed.
The only Mana user in Arzenal and Jill's second in-command, who takes rules very seriously. Like all Mana users, she views Normas as "things" or inhuman, it is suggested that she works for the Rosenblums and that her function isn't just being the island's second-in-command, but also being the island's caretaker where she oversees its overall functions.
