An alumna of the school and a former member of the light music club, she does not want people to know she was formerly a member of a heavy metal band, thus she covers up by being mild and gentle to her co-workers and especially to students. She is forced to be the adviser of the light music club, as Ritsu blackmails her after the girls learn of her past, though it is unknown whether she stopped being the adviser for the wind instrument club as the story progresses. Though she has a mature and gentle demeanor in the school, Sawako, affectionately addressed as "Sawa-chan" by both Ritsu and Yui, displays a totally different, completely authentic character when she is alone with the light music club. In reality, she is a rather wild, lazy and quite an irresponsible teacher who enjoys dressing up the light music club in, sometimes embarrassing, cosplay costumes, much to the dislike of Mio. She names the club band ''After School Tea Time'' after the members take too long deciding on a name themselves, and to maintain the secrecy on her heavy-metal image. Souma is Kendappa's best friend and the last survivor of the Souma clan. Her clan was killed by Taishakuten and her parents were beheaded right before her eyes. Her parents had hid Souma in some bushes so she did not get killed. After that day, she had always dreamed of getting revenge and beating the crap out of Taishakuten, and she set out traveling by herself. She passed out in a forest, out of exhaustion, and that was when Kendappa-ou comes a-riding into the forest on her horse, and happens to see Souma laying there unconscious. The people of the Souma clan were gardeners, so Souma is skilled in making healing herbs and medicines. She also has weapons, the Sougeppa, or Twin Moon Crescents. They're kind of like miniature crescent-shaped boomerangs that she can throw out, and they can cut off people's heads and stuff. Souma also makes a good spy. She's fast and jumpy, likes to hide up in trees, and seems to disappear or appear all of a sudden in front of the group to bring them news of any of Taishakuten's armies who are on their trails. It's revealed that she and Kendappa-ou are in love with each other. Souma is killed by Kendappa-ou. Kendappa-ou believed that Souma could not win against Taishakuten so she rather kill Souma herself. Souma wanted to give her blood to Kendappa-ou (there was a legend where the Souma clan could grant immortality to one person in their life if they give their blood to that person) so she would not die but Taishakuten stopped her from doing so. Yukishiro Tomoe was the eldest daughter of a samurai, a low-level bureaucrat who served the Tokugawa Shogunate in Edo. Her only sibling was her younger brother Enishi, who viewed her as a surrogate parent because of their mother's death shortly after his birth. As required by the Shogunate, she practiced Buddhism. She kept diaries to record her inner thoughts and emotions, which she found difficult to express more openly. This reticence left Kiyosato unaware of how much she truly loved him. Thinking that he needed to please her with greater accomplishments, he went to Kyoto to join the Mimawarigumi and was killed by the Ishin Shishi assassin, Hitokiri Batt�sai (Himura Kenshin), but also gave the Hitokiri a single slash scar along the face. Tomoe had met Kenshin shortly after the killing, and went undercover for some time, pretending not to know that Kenshin was the man who had killed her fiance. As a result of the suspicion, she and Kenshin left Kyoto and married, hiding in wait while Tomoe planned Kenshin' death. When the time came for Tomoe to reveal her secrets and kill Kenshin, she had already realized that she had fallen for him, and to save his life, she gave away hers, etching the second scar across his cheek so he would never forget her love.
Layla is an accomplished and seasoned performer. She is a stubborn character and plays an antagonist-like role in the beginning of the story, but like many of the other characters, she befriends Sora. Layla is the daughter of Mr. Hamilton, a wealthy hotel chain owner; he would prefer Layla to be an actress and is frequently trying to push her into doing so. Layla eventually stands up to her father and rejoins the circus; she loves the Kaleido Stage because she clearly remembers how her deceased mother enjoyed going there. At the end of the first season, after attempting the great Mystical Act and seriously injuring her shoulder Layla gives up the circus and retires to Broadway. Though in the second season she comes back to stage to challenge Sora for the Angel's Act for the production Swan Lake and at the end returns to Off Broadway. Somewhere on season 1, someone performs to be a "Mystery Star", but can you guess who?

He's kind and considerate to people around him; there is a darker aspect of him. There's a lot of internal anger against terrorists due to KPSA's involvement in killing his family. Because of the violent death of his family, he desired the power to change world and believe Celestial Being can help him change it. While usually cool minded and rarely angry, dealing in missions or people related to terrorism (especially KPSA) affects his judgment as he's blinded by his emotions. His thoughts are usually about his mother, father, little sister Amy. Like the rest of the Meisters, Lockon Stratos is a codename, and he reveals to Feldt Grace that his real name is Neil Dylandy. He also has a twin brother, but chooses to remain out of his life, and neither sees each other. In episode 19, Johann Trinity reveals that Setsuna was a part of the organization responsible for the deaths of most of Lockon’s family. In confronting him about it, Setsuna does not deny his involvement, and even implies that he would understand if Lockon were to kill him, given that his hope to eradicate war would continue in Lockon. Lockon, however decides against shooting him understanding that their real enemy is the man behind KPSA, Ali Al-Saachez. During the GN-X assault on the Ptolemaios, Lockon is injured defending Patrick Colasour's attack on the GN-005 Gundam Virtue, resulting in not only the near-destruction of Dynames (of which the cockpit was damaged beyond repair), but also an impairment of his right eye, the extent of which is unknown. When Lockon is told that he will have to stay on the Ptolemaios for 3 weeks in order to make a full recovery, he instead resolves to keep on fighting, despite Dynames' damaged state and his own physical limitations. During another joint UN incursion, Lockon launched Dynames with the GN Arms. After destroying two MS carriers, Lockon confronted Ali Al-Saachez and was overpowered by the stolen Throne Gundam. As a last ditch effort, he jettisoned from the cockpit, connected his sniper module into a GN Arms cannon, and attempted to shoot down Ali Al-Saachez. He was able to damage the Throne, but Ali shot down the cannon - killing Lockon.
A crisp, practical, no-nonsense woman who completely disapproves of Anne's wild imagination, although she does grow to love the orphan. Her sense of humour develops greatly upon Anne's arrival, and Mrs. Lynde states that she became "mellow".
