His true name is Kishuku Sou (ç® 鬼宿, SÅ Kishuku?) , based on the star Demon (鬼). Tamahome appears the strongest member of the Suzaku warriors. An adept martial artist, proficient unarmed and with weapons, he proves a good street-fighter and can channel his ki into energy-blasts. When emotionally motivated, he is able to use his ki to increase his strength, speed, and reflexes in combat. Tamahome is also experienced in fencing thanks to being trained by Tokaki. While he initially rejects Miaka's feelings for him, he comes to reciprocate, realizing all along how deeply his feelings for her had been. They develop a strong romantic relationship to the point where Tamahome is able to sense Miaka whenever she calls for him. Though it is Miaka's wish for them to be together, it is a wish that Suzaku cannot grant; thus, Miaka uses her final wish to restore The Universe of Four Gods and the two are separated when Miaka returns to her own world. However, after Miaka's junior high school graduation, she is introduced to a new classmate of her older brother. Tamahome comes back showing the ring that symbolizes his marriage to Miaka. Soun and Genma trained during their youths with the evil and perverted Happosai. The little man is THE master of Anything Goes Martial arts (Musabetsu Kakut Ryū). He is also a panty theif and lecher beyond belief. In return for training, he berated and cajolled his two unwilling students into helping him with his panty raids and peeping expiditions. More often than not, they would end up humiliated or injured in the process. Once they had finally finished their training (ie: escaped) they were able to get on with their lives. That is, until Happosai returned to select the next Anything Goes master. What he found when he reached the Tendou Dojo was Ranma. Disgustingly enough, Happosai leched onto girl-type Ranma, even though he knows Ranma is a boy. Taking up residence at the Tendou Dojo, he began extending Ranma's training. He also began to expand his panty raids into the surrounding neighborhood, as well as the Tendou girls' bedrooms. Happosai is a tiny, yet immensely powerful martial artist. He usually wears a purple coverall, or occasionally a green bathing suit. When on his panty raids, he often wears a scarf as a mask. He is bald, with white fringes and a white moustache. Happosai is a master martial artist and deceptively strong for his size. His only real weakness is his perverted nature. Happosai would leap in front of a speeding train for a pair of girl's panties. Often times he is foiled by a well placed bra, and if he cannot lech onto some poor, unsuspecting girl, or Ranma, he goes into an addict's withdrawl syndrome. His power comes entirely from his lust, and can be easily defeated by denying it. Happosai is master of many magical martial arts attacks, although many are really just special effects. For example, his world feared 'Happo-dai-karin' (Happo Fire Blast) Technique is really just a firework and a match. He does however, posess several powerful special energy techniques, as well. Lantis is a powerful Kailu and the younger brother of High Priest Zagato. He makes his first appearance in episode 23 of the second season, his reasons for coming back to Cephiro after the distruction of the Pillar shrouded in mystery. In the beginning it is only revealed that Lantis is a traveler, having seen many worlds during his self-imposed exile from Cephiro, one of the most important, and last, being Autozam - one of the three invading countries. For this reason, he is regarded with suspicion by the people of Cephiro. Brief flashbacks during the show, reveal to us that Lantis was Princess Emeraude's Captain of the Guards before Lafarga. The time period is blurry, as Lantis himself tells Hikaru. With the added knowledge that in Cephiro those with strong hearts can live for extended periods of time, changing their appearances at leisure, his age can vary from several decades to several centuries. At the most 700 years, since Clef admits (at the beginning of the manga) that he himself is 745 years. Lantis is a quiet and private man but undeniably strong, in heart, body and mind. Such is clearly hinted at by both Master Mage Clef (who believes that Lantis has enough power to equal that of his older brother Zagato and perhaps even surpass it) and Debonair (who makes no secret of the fact that his heart is 'fearfully strong' and that she wants him for his power, going as far as to send Nova to get him for herself). Lantis is a powerful mage - having learned from Clef, his former master - and wields a sword skillfully enough to be considered a talented swordsman. This makes him the only Magic Swordsman in all of Cephiro. During the second season, he falls in love with Hikaru and she with him; together they face the possibility of imminent distruction of Cephiro - who still lacks a pillar and is slowly crumbling - and surpass the obstacles set out in front of them: Nova, Debonair and the three invading countries. He shares a deep friendship with Eagle of Autozam - leader of one of the major three invading forces - and doesn't wish to fight him for the sake of the pillar's crown. It is later revealed that Lantis's return to Cephiro was conditioned by his desire to stop the tragedy of Emeraude and Zagato from ever repeating again; his greatest wish is to destroy the Pillar system and he is willing to give his life to achieve his goal.
