Shin'emon requested Konoha's help in escorting a "priceless" tea cup Kachoufuugetsu (Beauty of Nature) to an exhibition. When Naruto and Kiba arrived to help their client transport the cup, they learned he was petty, valuing the cup more than their lives. When bandits stole the cup, the three went to retrieve it. Shin'emon took the bandit leader on alone, and fought his hardest to get it back. After he retrieved the cup, the leader chose to destroy his cave lair with all inside. Shin'emon fled but he lost the cup over a ledge where it broke on the floor below. He himself went over the edge. As he fell he thought over how bad a person he had been and was surprised to see Naruto save him. They eventually made it to the exhibition without the cup. Shin'emon explained how he could simply make another tea cup. And he pointed out how the priceless treasure was his own life rather than the cup, since he could make an even better vessel next time.
Sagi was the son of Owashi and the twin brother of Toki.
Hakkaku is a cooking ninja from the Land of Lightning. He and Teuchi Ichiraku attended the same cooking academy. Hakkaku later on became a successful cooking ninja who made delicious food for ninja to eat while on missions. However, Hakkaku's food was so good, that ninja started eating too much of his food and got fat, preventing them from performing well on missions. Thus, Hakkaku hoped to obtain Teuchi Ichiraku's "Phantom" recipe, hoping that the recipe would make his food both delicious and nutritious. The "Phantom" recipe, in truth, was nothing more than a way to remove the bitter taste from ramen broth. Information taken from Narutopedia.
Sasame is a young kunoichi of the Fūma clan. While searching for her cousin, Arashi, Sasame approaches Kamikiri, Kager, and Jigumo for help. She takes part in a fake battle with them to win the trust of Naruto, Sakura, and Jiraiya, who tend to her after rescuing her. While she has her clothes off inside a room, Naruto is being shown attempting to peek at the nude Sasame until Sakura notices him and hits him on the head. After they come out, Naruto is surpised and wondering who Sasame is, at which time Sakura informs Naruto that Sasame and the mystery ninja they picked up are the same person. Ironically, this causes Naruto to realize that he accidently groped Sasame when he rescued her before. At that time Sakura strikes him on the head again for daydreaming something perverted and the group is attacked by the previous ninja group, who turn out to be members of the Fūma. After with fighting the other Fūma again, she leads the three to Orochimaru's lair. When she did locate the lair, she ended up in a rope trap where she persuaded the three to let her help in exchange for seeing Arashi. Sasame planned on giving Naruto, Jiraiya and Sakura tea with a drug to make them fall asleep, and handing them over to Kamikiri in exchange for being allowed to see Arashi. However, the plan failed when Kamikiri revealed that he wanted to kill them instead of capturing them, and Sasame was knocked unconscious when she protested against that. Naruto, Sakura, and Jiraiya revealed that they had only pretended to go along with her plan, and defeated the three Fūma ninja. Almost as soon as she regained consciousness, Sasame tried to commit suicide over having failed, but Jiraiya stopped her and convinced her to show them to the hideout. Despite being ordered to stay behind, Sasame follows Naruto into the hideout and saves him from a slowly flooding room by opening the trapdoor, allowing him to catch up with Sakura. She later saves Naruto from Kager (who was disguised as Kabuto Yakushi) by giving Sakura a seal that will free them from her attack. When she met Arashi, she saw what had become of her cousin she decided to help Naruto and Sakura in defeating him. After the incident, she decided to join forces with Hanzaki and the remaining members of the Fūma clan to rebuild the clan's former glory.
Fukusuke Hikyakuya is hired to be the Wagarashi family's runner for the Todoroki Shrine Race in the Land of Tea. Land of Tea Arc Aoi Rokush and Team Oboro turned out to be the bodyguard for Fukusuke. The leader of Wagarashi family, Kyūroku Wagarashi, hired them to take care of Idate Morino for him. When it came to the race, Fukusuke was ahead thanks to Team Oboro. When it came to the next part of the race, Fukusuke tells Aoi that he'd better make sure Idate doesn't catch up. Before sending Fukusuke on his way, Aoi grabs Fukusuke and warns him that if he threatens him again, he will break him in half. Idate managed to catch up and outrun Fukusuke at the last minute. Fukusuke was beaten up by two members of Wagarashi family who state that he has dishonored the Wagarashi family and had better prepare for what's coming to him. Fukusuke begs for forgiveness. When Kyūroku and the Tea Daimyo's minister try to have Idate disqualified for assistance in getting to the checkpoint and declare Fukusuke the winner, the daimyo intervenes, stating that there is no rule against that. After the Wagarashi family was ordered to be disbanded, Fukusuke's current location and status are unknown.
Maru is one of the two girls that led Watanuki into YÅ«ko's shop. It isn't stated whether the girls were created by YÅ«ko, Clow Reed, the both of them, or someone else entirely, but since they have no souls and cannot leave the shop, it can be assumed that they were created there. Possible Powers-In chapter 126, YÅ«ko explained why Maru and Moro are required to stay inside the shop. The shop itself is not seen by anyone unless they are fated to do business with YÅ«ko. Maru and Moro's concentration is what is keeping the shop in existence. As a side-effect, they have long deep bouts of sleep. They help out around the shop, but mostly act as the cheering squad. They almost always speak in unison, or close to it. Watanuki seems to get along with them most of the time, at least when they are not dragging him into one of YÅ«ko's plans. It is noted that Maru and Moro's full names are both words which mean "exposing oneself in public" – similar to "flashing" and "streaking" in English, and something that is quite possibly a pun on the 'xxx' part of xxxHOLiC. Even though the 'xxx' are intended to act as a variable in the title, their appearance resembles the 'XXX' which is synonymous with pornography. Given the target seinen audience, this double meaning is probably intentional. There are very few instances that Maru and Moro are in serious scenes. In the parasite angel chapter, Watanuki invited them to join him in the festival, however Maru and Moro said in unison (in a rather dazed look) "those without souls cannot leave this place... for their bodies will disintegrate." They also show some concern not only for YÅ«ko but also for Watanuki despite the fact they always annoy him. In volume 6 of the manga, when Watanuki came home from visiting the "lady in the park", Maru and Moro immediately sensed that something was wrong with Watanuki. When Watanuki finally collapsed, the two dragged Watanuki as far as the store's gates, saying "This is as far as we can go" before tossing Watanuki out to a waiting DÅmeki. In the anime, Watanuki also shows signs of slight affection to the two; in episode 18, when DÅmeki read a letter to Watanuki written by Mokona and Maru/Moro, Watanuki was somewhat pleased to see that they thought of him.
