The main character of the story, he chooses to attend a former all-girl school simply because it is close to his home. The first day at the school, he is forced to join the student council as vice president and male representative. After some quarrel with Chitoge, it seemed like he hinted about the one who holds a key. It was also unclear though because he immediately regained his memory. The hint regarding the girl who holds the key to his locket is "the girl's eyes were either brown or black but not blue." In the end, Raku realises that he has feelings for Chitoge, rather than Onodera. While Onodera confesses to him, and turns out to be the girl of the promise, he rejects her confession. He tells Chitoge that he loves her, and she confirms that their feelings are both mutual.

K�ji (攻�, Kouji?) is one of the bandits of Mount Reikaku and is later chosen to act as their leader while Tasuki journeys with Miaka. He has known Tasuki since childhood and though he initially disliked Tasuki when he first joined the Mount Reikaku bandits, K�ji and Tasuki grew close and K�ji begrudgingly admitted his respect for the younger boy. Though he is two years older than Tasuki and holding more seniority amongst the bandits, Tasuki's role as a Suzaku Celestial Warrior ensured that Tasuki would be their leader. With a completely charming way of knocking on and answering doors, K�ji is the only member of the Mount Reikaku Bandits who does not dream of putting a finger on Miaka or even Nuriko or Hotohori. During the war between Kut� and K�nan, K�ji and his bandits offered to give assistance to K�nan by agreeing to fight. After peace is restored to K�nan, Tasuki returns to Mount Reikaku and resumes his position as leader from K�ji, though it is generally accepted that the pair shares the responsibility. Haruka's younger sister, She initially sees both Takayuki and Mitsuki as older siblings until she finds out they have been seeing each other behind Haruka's back. While Haruka is in the hospital, she visits every day since there is no one else that can keep her company, even if Haruka is in a coma. This shows just how much she loves her older sister. She, like Mitsuki, is a powerful swimmer in her own right, but feels as if she can never match Mitsuki. Her intense hatred towards Mitsuki after the accident can be attributed to the feeling of personal betrayal by someone she considered an idol for throwing away her (Mitsuki's) talent and dreams as well as Mitsuki's betrayal of her sister by her sexual relationship with Takayuki.
