Souma is Kendappa's best friend and the last survivor of the Souma clan. Her clan was killed by Taishakuten and her parents were beheaded right before her eyes. Her parents had hid Souma in some bushes so she did not get killed. After that day, she had always dreamed of getting revenge and beating the crap out of Taishakuten, and she set out traveling by herself. She passed out in a forest, out of exhaustion, and that was when Kendappa-ou comes a-riding into the forest on her horse, and happens to see Souma laying there unconscious. The people of the Souma clan were gardeners, so Souma is skilled in making healing herbs and medicines. She also has weapons, the Sougeppa, or Twin Moon Crescents. They're kind of like miniature crescent-shaped boomerangs that she can throw out, and they can cut off people's heads and stuff. Souma also makes a good spy. She's fast and jumpy, likes to hide up in trees, and seems to disappear or appear all of a sudden in front of the group to bring them news of any of Taishakuten's armies who are on their trails. It's revealed that she and Kendappa-ou are in love with each other. Souma is killed by Kendappa-ou. Kendappa-ou believed that Souma could not win against Taishakuten so she rather kill Souma herself. Souma wanted to give her blood to Kendappa-ou (there was a legend where the Souma clan could grant immortality to one person in their life if they give their blood to that person) so she would not die but Taishakuten stopped her from doing so. A dragon of heaven, Sorata is an upbeat, irreverent teenager possessing considerable occult abilities, raised by the Shingon Buddhist monks of K�yasan after being taken away from his mother at a young age. A gourmand, he was frequently in trouble at the shrine for stealing food between meals (insisting that he couldn't wait until dinner), and is also a competent cook. It was prophesied that he would protect Kamui with his life, but that he would die for a woman; the first time he meets Arashi, he decides she will be the one. An incessantly friendly young man, he wears down the resistance of both Kamui and Arashi and worms his way into their affections, despite their initial coldness and his own unrefined Kansai dialect. In addition to generating powerful electrical discharges, he is also capable of calling upon a goh�d�ji, a magical being similar to a shikigami manifesting as a massive, hideous ghostly creature. It is psychically linked to Sorata, allowing him to spy on others and act at a distance from himself, but he suffers any damage inflicted upon it. Giovanni is the Team Rocket Boss and a former Viridian City Gym Leader. He is a very ambitious man and is intolerant of failure. Giovanni is shown to have access to vast wealth and resources. The money probably comes from Team Rocket's main source of income — the profit of selling stolen Pokémon. Giovanni also gains a lot of money from smuggling Pokémon, Pokéball trafficking, and other crime rackets. He has Team Rocket operations in both Kanto and Johto. Dent is one of the three gym leaders of Striaton City. He is the brother of Pod and Corn, his fellow gym leaders. He is recognized as an A-rank Pokemon Sommelier, a person who has the ability to check the compatibility and closeness between a trainer and his/her Pokemon. After being defeated by Ash in a gym battle he decided to join Ash through his journey in the Unova Region. He is the group's navigator and cook. Dent has a love for playing detective and trains. He enjoys solving mysteries with scientific explanations, and he is a huge fan of Nimbasa City's subway system. He dislikes the Pokemon Purrloin, saying he had a bad experience with one in the past, but refuses to talk about it. Dent's vintage Pokemon is his Pansage. He has also acquired a Dwebble, which has evolved into a Crustle, and a Stunfisk while traveling.

She is the daughter of renowned swordsmith Murata Jintetsu, and younger sister of Murata Tetsuya, both of which are deceased. She has helped Sakata Gintoki and the Yorozuya on several occasions. Shy and withdrawn, Tetsuko wouldn't even greet Gintoki properly when they first met during the Benizakura arc. However, she is goodhearted, as seen in Episode 61, when she saved Gintoki from Nizou. She talks in a relatively low voice, contrary to her brother who had a hearing problem, and usually ended up shouting while trying to talk normally. Tetsuko made another appearance during the Itou arc, when the Yorozuya visited her along with Hijikata Toushirou, who had been cursed by his new sword. She then displayed a wide knowledge of swords, explaining the history of the hikikomori-possessed cursed sword that was plaguing Hijikata, in Episode 102. Tetsuko was also one of the citizens who helped fight for Kabuki District during the war in manga chapter 303.

Sakamoto is shown to be skilled with a pistol in an anime filler episode. His name is based on the historical character Sakamoto Ryoma. Sakamoto speaks in Tosa-ben, much like the inspiration for his character, Sakamoto Ryouma.
