He provides a thoughtful and calm approach in contrast to Garaga's use of brute force, and sees great potential in Ruuji. Because of his many travels, he's a well-educated man on the road and also knows a few things about Zoid characteristics. He theorizes that Ruuji's Murasame Liger became Hayate Liger through an event called Evolt. As their journey progresses, Ron shows both Ruuji and Mii the mysteries of the planet as they travel as merchants to avoid detection. It is revealed that Ron knows those who safeguard Zi's past relics from the time before the great disaster. A classmate of Yumi's brother Yuuki at Hanadera Academy, "Alice" (as she is nicknamed throughout the series by her friends due to her feminine manners) is a good-natured and lively young trans girl whose only issue is that her inner, feminine identity is at odds with her male biological body and her typically virile given first name, Kintarou. She is a great fan of Sachiko's (going as far as saying that she had rather been born as a girl and gone to Lilian to be Sachiko's petite sœur). She seems to be good friends with Yuuki, and as a member of the Hanadera Student Council, gets to interact with the Yamayurikai for their respective school festivals. Sachiko's decision to switch the player's genders in the schoolplay at the Lilian Culture Festival overjoys her, as it gives her the opportunity to act a female part.
Little is known about Emma Sheen prior to the events of Zeta Gundam, though we do know that in her youth, she had a chance meeting with Amuro Ray on earth. At the start of Zeta Gundam, Emma is a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Titans. She defects after Kamille Bidan's mother dies in a brutal display of Titan tactics. After arriving at the Argama with all three MK-II prototypes as a display of her loyalty, she witnesses the deserted Colony 30 at Side 1, where the Titans used lethal gas to stop a demonstration being held there, with the loss of all 10 million colonists. Established as a loyal ally, Emma becomes a regular pilot, using the RMS-099 Rick Dias and later, the hand-me down RX-178 Gundam Mk II, which is upgraded via G-Defenser attachment to 'Super Gundam' towards the end of the series. She is often contrasted with Reccoa Londe, who defects from the AEUG to the Titans in the later half of the series and turns out to be Emma's ultimate opponent.
