Haruka's younger sister, She initially sees both Takayuki and Mitsuki as older siblings until she finds out they have been seeing each other behind Haruka's back. While Haruka is in the hospital, she visits every day since there is no one else that can keep her company, even if Haruka is in a coma. This shows just how much she loves her older sister. She, like Mitsuki, is a powerful swimmer in her own right, but feels as if she can never match Mitsuki. Her intense hatred towards Mitsuki after the accident can be attributed to the feeling of personal betrayal by someone she considered an idol for throwing away her (Mitsuki's) talent and dreams as well as Mitsuki's betrayal of her sister by her sexual relationship with Takayuki. Manaka is the class representative. She is shy and has trouble saying "no" to others. She is helpful and is very reserved. Thanks to Takaki, she finally says how she feels about a certain matter. She does not back down and everyone applauses her. Her best friend is Yuma Tonomi
Yuma is an athletic girl and is out-going. She pretends to be always in conflict with Takaki and that he's always trying to beat her in everything. She thinks he is her rival. Takaki never bothers to ask her why she acts this way until the last episode. She blushes and stutters, giving the audience the impression that she may have feelings for him. Her best friend is Manaka Komaki.
Konomi's mother. She is friendly towards Takaki, enough to entrust him with her own daughter overnight. She often calls him over to eat breakfast or dinner with them. -Wikipedia-
A claustrophobic 4th-year timpanist (percussion), who is an okama. He has the body of a male, but a mind of a female. He developed a crush on Chiaki. Since Nodame starts to hang out with Chiaki, he considers her as a rival and often bullies her and anyone else who tries to get close to Chiaki. Despite his idiosyncrasies, he excels on his percussion skills, earning him the title of "Queen of Percussion" and a place in the S and R☆S orchestras conducted by Chiaki.
