Originally one of Kimblee's bodyguards, Heinkel and Darius are blasted by Kimblee along with Ed, and ends up joining Ed when he saves them. Heinkel's chimera form is that of a humanoid lion.

Sloth is the fifth Homunculus created by Father. Appearing as a giant, muscular, but mentally slow man, Sloth spends most of the story digging the country spanning underground tunnels that make up the Father's mysterious transmutation circle. A conversation between Greed and Lust implies that Sloth have dug tunnels for at least a hundred years. Not surprisingly, he seems eager to finish his work so he can rest at last. In the first anime, Sloth was inadvertently created in the failed human transmutation of Ed and Al, and appeared as their mother, quite the opposite of what he is characterized as in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. After completion of the tunnel, Sloth is ordered to Central on the Promised Day, where he is to kill anyone who could potentially ruin Father's plan, most notably General Armstrong. She manages to hold him off with the help of her younger brother, but the appearance of the Mannequin Soldiers and Central troops throw off their tactics. Sloth reveals his Homunculus trait, the ability to move at supersonic speeds, and nearly kills the two before Izumi and Sig Curtis arrive and help destroy Sloth's Philosopher's Stone.

Formerly the Crystal Alchemist, Marcoh was the leading researcher in the creation of the Philosopher's Stone. Tormented by the fact that his research was used in the Ishval War to kill many innocent people, he fled from his position as a State Alchemist and took his research with him to prevent it from being used for further destruction. Hiding from the military and posing as a medical doctor, he uses the Red Stone he created to help the sick.

Her subordinates are loyal, but if it ensured the survival of Briggs (or for the sake of the greater good), they are instructed to leave her to die if ever the need arose, and she wouldn't hold it against them. Being the General of Briggs, Olivier has full command of the Fortress. She is also very skilled with her family heirloom sword which she uses unhesitatingly. She also seems to have some proficiency with tanks and artillery.

Captain Buccaneer is an Amestrian State Military Officer stationed at Fort Briggs and a close subordinate of Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong. Abrasive and suspicious, Buccaneer is often one to strike first and ask questions later, in fitting with the Briggs mindset of "Survival of the Fittest", and seems to enjoy violence and combat, often using vicious animal metaphors in his speech. He is loath to trust strangers and does not hold back in dealing out harsh treatment to people with whom he is unfamiliar. Second Lieutenant Jean Havoc likes to smoke, and is almost always pictured with a cigarette in his mouth. He is a fair shot with a gun, and one of Roy Mustang's loyal followers; he gives Edward a stern talking-to when Ed bad-mouths Mustang for only caring about promotions. A Chimera that swore loyalty to Greed. Like Nina, he was fused with a dog; however, he has retained his human appearance. Because he is part dog, he can use his new-found speed along with his great swordsmanship, and his sense of smell is superior to that of a normal human. However, he is noted saying he is 'too loyal for his own good'. In the manga, he is often used as comic relief. Such as when Martel (inside Al at the time) should see him pee with one of his legs in the air, much like a real dog. He, like Martel, was not in the war in Ishval but was in the war in Aerugo.
