Fernandia Malvezzi is based on Italian pilot Fernando Malvezzi. Graduate of a military academy for witches in Romagna. With a small degree of skill in healing magic, Fernandia was assigned to the magic medical corps, but she actually had a strong desire for a combat role. She snuck herself into a ground attack witch unit, one of the understrength sections of the Aeronautica Romagniana (Romagnan Air Force). After studying tactics with a Karlslander dive-bomber squadron, Fernandia, together with her best friends Luciana and Martina from the academy, flew many missions, even recording a destroyed heavy land Neuroi to their name. In recognition of the team's fame and overwhelmingly positive evaluations, all three were given the honor of being admitted into the Pantaloni Rossi (Red Pants). Not long after, Fernandia's unit was equipped with MC.202 Strikers. Her experience with those enlightened her towards air combat, and ever since '44 she has been using the G-55. Even though Fernandia can be extremely self-assured, headstrong, and impulsive, she also displays an undeniable friendliness, and she is a natural leader with the power to get others to do things her way. Anna Ferrara is a retired Venezian Witch that makes a living training younger witches. She has lent her instruction to Mio, Yoshika, Perrine and Lynne. She was part of Venezian military even before the Neuroi War I and fought against the Neuroi before the introduction of Striker Unit. Therefore she is the one of few Witches who still can fly with brooms in the 1940's. Now, she teaches younger Witches how to fly with brooms to let them train their magic control ability. Although she is definitely past 20 in age, Anna still retains her magical power just like the Miyafuji family. However, she does not have any other special abilities like the healing magic of Miyafuji family. This suggests that her magical ability is the act of flying itself. She is based on the Italian WWI fighter pilot Arturo Ferrarin, who received medals and fame outside of Italy after setting a long distance non-stop flight world record. Miyafuji Yoshika's father is the inventor of the Striker units of that aircraft, which bring the Strike Witches in their fight against the Neuroi used. Mio Sakamoto was the first test pilot for this development. His own, also magically gifted daughter, until recently, however, knew nothing of his involvement, since he disappeared without a trace, when she was 10 years old. In the laboratory, in which the professor made his development, then passed through an accident that destroyed the entire building and it is believed that he too was killed in this explosion. His life motto was that you should use a self-given power to protect others, a theme that has internalized his daughter.

Yamakawa Michiko is the best friend of Yoshika and is called "Micchan". The two go to the same school and during Yoshika occasionally with their own kind of brings into difficulties. Michiko is rather the shy, reserved type. Her grandfather worked in agriculture, and the two like to go once before with his tractor.
