Kaguya is the main antagonist in the third Inuyasha movie, "Castle Beyond the Looking Glass." Kaguya is a so-called fallen angel (it is never specified if she is truly an angel, or a mere demon who thinks she is) who desires the Celestial Robe, which can make her immortal. However, long ago Kaguya was sealed away in a mirror that seems similar to Kanna's. Following orders from the recently deceased Naraku, Kagura, and Kanna go on a quest to collect 5 magical items, one of which is a scrap of InuYasha's robe. It is also during the collection of the 5th item that Kagome is captured. Upon collecting the items, 5 beams of light create a pentagram over Japan, freeing Kaguya. InuYasha races to Kaguya's castle with Shippo, Sango, Kohaku and Miroku lagging behind. Kaguya uses the mirror she was previously sealed in to seal InuYasha's human side, unleashing his full demon side. Kagome, in a desperate attempt to stop the transformation, Kagome kisses him, cracking Kaguya's mirror and breaking the spell. At this point, Sango and the others arrive to witness the couple's first kiss. Kanna then uses her own mirror and steals some of Kaguya's life force. At this point, a spider mark appears on Kohaku's back, and Naraku emerges, apparently not as dead as InuYasha and company would have hoped. Kohaku once again reverts back to Naraku's control, and Miroku regains his Wind Tunnel. The castle starts to collapse, and InuYasha and the gang flee. Kaguya chases them as a black cloud, determined to kill them. However, Miroku uses his Wind Tunnel to absorb Kaguya. Everyone, including Naraku, escapes the castle unharmed. Kaguya is supposedly the girl Kaguya-hime, a girl from a commonly known Japanese legend known as the Legend of the Bamboo Cutter. Again, it is not truly specified if Kaguya is actually Kaguya-hime, or merely believes herself to be. In the legend, five princes ask for Kaguya-hime's hand in marriage. Not planning to marry any of them, Kaguya-hime sends each of them on a quest to retrieve five treasures- the basin of Buddha, a silver and gold alzalea, the Chinese Fire mouse (or fire rat, as in InuYasha's robe), a colored dragon jewel, and the seashore treasure of the swallows. All the princes fail their task, and thus fail to win Kaguya-hime's favor. In the movie, these treasures are the key to releasing Kaguya from her mirror. They also represent wood, earth, fire, metal and water. In the movie, Kaguya desires the Celestial robe to gain the power of a celestial being in order to return to the moon. A congenial shape-shifting youkai who has befriended Miroku. Hachi's natural appearance is a yokai-tanuki (Raccoon-Dog). Hachi is short for Hachiemon. Once took the form of Miroku to sell fake seals and get away with the ladies. But when Miroku catches him, he is being assaulted by a spirit haunting a cave. Hachi sometimes acts as the transportation for InuYasha's group, and would risk his life to take them into the heart of enemy territory or ship them out of danger when it's necessary.
Houjou's ancestor, Houjou Akitoki, shows up back in the past, and he is also in love with Kagome. He appears first in the second movie, Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, and then later in Episode 137: The Ancestor's Name Is Kagome. Houjou Akitoki looks a lot like the present day Houjou, except with a different hair-style and his hair and eye color are a lighter brown. (Source: AbsoluteAnime)
Kanna is the first detachment of Naraku. She appears to be a ten-year-old girl with white hair and clothing. As a "concealed incarnation" of Naraku, Kanna has no scent and no demonic aura, making her undetectable to InuYasha's senses and immune to demonic aura-related effects such as the Hakurei-zan barrier. Kanna is the only incarnation that Naraku trusts with important information about his actions, allowing her to give orders in his place. Kanna carries a demonic mirror that can steal the souls of those reflected in it. Once a soul is trapped by her mirror, Kanna can control that person's body to carry out her bidding; however, the mirror can be overwhelmed by an especially powerful soul such as Kagome's, forcing Kanna to release all of the trapped souls before the glass shatters. The mirror can also create a glass demon to copy the abilities of whatever it reflects, though Kanna herself suffers damage when the glass demon is wounded. In her last battle, Kanna is ordered by Naraku to commit suicide, shattering herself and her glass demon into thousands of tiny shards. Driven by Kanna's final thought, one of the shards hits Kagome's right eye and gives her the knowledge of how to destroy Naraku.
Sango's younger brother who was once under the control of Naraku. When Naraku disguised himself as Kagewaki Hitomi, the son of a lord, he used Lord Hitomi's father to call upon Sango and the demon slayers to slay a false demon. Kohaku was made to turn against his companions, killing his father and all the demon slayers, Sango surviving only by sheer luck. Kohaku was killed that night also by the castle guards, only to be later resurrected by Naraku as an amnesiac puppet. After several encounters with Sango and her friends, he began to recover his painful memories and sought to secretly find a way to destroy Naraku while still maintaining the illusion of being a puppet and later forming an alliance with Kagura. For a while Kohaku accompanied Kikyou with the intention of assisting her in carrying out Midoriko's will. Around the time of Kikyou's death, however, he was saved from Byakuya by Sesshomaru, and currently travels with Sesshomaru, Jaken, and Rin. ("Kohaku" means "amber.")
Hojo is a boy at Kagome's school, and forms a giant crush for Kagome. He completely believes she's sick all the time and goes out of his way to bring her things to make her feel better. After Inuyasha forced Kagome back to her own time Kagome had an actual date with Hojo. But she was so worried about Inuyasha's wounds that she ran out of the restaurant in the middle of everything to try and return to the past. She often tries to convince herself that she really loves Hojo, but she always seems to take Inuyasha over Hojo if she has the choice. On a side note, Hojo's ancestor, Hojo Akitoki, shows up back in the past, and he is also in love with Kagome. He appears first in the second movie, Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, and then later in Episode 137: The Ancestor's Name Is Kagome. On March 14, 2006, on Inuyasha, they mentioned a sword of Kaijimbo before Tokijin was made. This sword gave bad luck to the Hojo family. The trio are Kagome Higurashi's present day school friends who seem to be quite nosy when it comes to her personal life. They are always nudging Kagome to make advances on Hojo, a popular school boy who obviously admires her. And when they first hear about InuYasha, they constantly encourage her to drop him due to her seemly bizarre descriptions of him; however, in later episodes Kagome's three classmates begin to like "Mr. Possessive." In episode 160 entitled "The Lucky But Two-Timing Scoundrel!" the girls finally meet InuYasha and find his exotic appearance intriguing, officially approving of him which makes Kagome considerably happy. Yuka, the last of the two, is the only one with significantly short hair and just like Eri, she is very outspoken and only wants the best for her dear friend Kagome.
